West Elsdon Logo Design

Virtually every new West Elsdon venture knows they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the vital role their logo design can play in their success, or exactly why one logo functions far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term influence on the financial success of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help West Elsdon companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a West Elsdon coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older section of town and hoped to visualize a retro atmosphere without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by creating a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and germs developed for West Elsdon clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in West Elsdon.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for West Elsdon travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Elsdon logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

West Elsdon logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo realize how essential a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s share of difficulties, however the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for West Elsdon publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it really is the most critical part of a published book since it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was certainly a victory.

West Elsdon logo design made use of for advertising and marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in West Elsdon, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair layout studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo that communicated a spirit of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather created a logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the main focus on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style produced for a steed ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, layout contains a modified manuscript font which floats above a team of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo design for a software program developer the style functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

This particular West Elsdon logo design job was done for a management expert that enables business professionals to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell off their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their West Elsdon business logo dsign using a graphic that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really designed for an West Elsdon regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this particular company was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop an identity that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo design developed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo design which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
