Anderson Logo Design

Nearly every new Anderson organization realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely are aware of the essential role their business logo will play in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting effect on the success of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Anderson companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Anderson coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older section of the city and wanted to project a nostalgic tone without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via creating a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Anderson clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping green frog developed for a family fun center in Anderson.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Anderson travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Anderson logo but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Anderson logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their organization so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Anderson publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most necessary part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the things consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Anderson logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Anderson, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it seems that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which projected a spirit of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but instead delivered a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design created for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo crafted a one-of-a-kind logo concept fashioned to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. With an unique head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly easily recognizable equine lineages in the world.

Logo design for a software programmer the design functions as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Anderson logo design dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t really developed for an Anderson area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo developed for making use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a popular sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
