Fort Wayne Logo Design

Nearly every new Fort Wayne business understands that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely comprehend the crucial role their logo design can take in their success, or the reason that one logo design performs more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and long term effect on the success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Fort Wayne companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Fort Wayne coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an old part of town and wished to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished both jobs by means of creating a trademark concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs created for Fort Wayne medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Fort Wayne.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Fort Wayne traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fort Wayne logo but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Fort Wayne logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design comprehend how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s share of difficulties, however the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Fort Wayne book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book since it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many cases 1 of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Fort Wayne logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Instance features an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be antique cases. For this logo concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Fort Wayne, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which related a sense of ease and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software program developer the layout attributes and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Fort Wayne logo dsign using an image which garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Fort Wayne area farm it was actually designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make a graphic that projects confidence, success, and luxury.
Logo design designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
