Granger Logo Design

Every new Granger company realizes that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the pivotal role their organization logo will perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has an immediate and lasting influence on the prosperity of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Granger businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Granger coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening in an old section of the city and wished to visualize an old-fashioned feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of designing a business logo concept that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria made for Granger medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Normally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping green frog developed for a family members fun facility in Granger.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - designed for Granger traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but rather communicate emotional experiences through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Granger logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Granger logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced point of views on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s portion of hurdles, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Granger book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go yet it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the items folks usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Granger logo style made use of for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this brand design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Granger, design include an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design that communicated a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious course of designing just a stylized orchid but instead created a logo design which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo style produced for a horse cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind organization logo design fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. With a distinctive head form and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine lineages in the whole world.

Logo style for a software program developer the design functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

Progress logo design produced for a Granger indoor developer, style function a collection of red circles that converge as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Granger business logo dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Granger regional farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular business logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to develop a image that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo designed for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the proprietor to design a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
