Huntington, Indiana Logo Design

Every new Huntington business person knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely realize the key role their organization’s logo will play in their success, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term influence on the growth of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of a business.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Huntington, Indiana companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from labels to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.
Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Huntington, Indiana coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were launching in an older section of the community and hoped to project a vintage atmosphere without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by designing a symbol design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Huntington, Indiana medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun facility in Huntington, Indiana.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and a tree - made for Huntington, Indiana traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Huntington logo design but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Huntington logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get honest viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Huntington, Indiana publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book since it is ordinarily the initial thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits consumers tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was surely a success.

Huntington logo design made use of for marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Huntington, Indiana, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo design projects because it seems that almost every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really enjoy doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which carried a spirit of serenity and connection for their new hair studio. I created a concept that did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo design for a software designer the style functions as well as iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their previously owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Huntington business logo dsign utilizing an illustration which captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has a field integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually created for an Huntington, Indiana area farm it was actually developed for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projects assurance, financial success, and affluence.

Huntington Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the flexibility to investigate any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo created for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a well-known sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
