Jasper Logo Design

Every new Jasper business knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely realize the vital role their logo design will make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long term influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Jasper businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Jasper coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of town and wanted to visualize a retro tone without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by means of creating a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide and bacteria made for Jasper medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory evaluation of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Jasper.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - created for Jasper traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Jasper logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Jasper logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced judgements on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Jasper publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will likely ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things consumers usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Jasper logo design used for advertising and a label design for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Jasper, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair style workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a business logo that communicated an atmosphere of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of designing simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the attention on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style features and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to sell off their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Jasper logo dsign along with an image which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand design wasn’t actually produced for an Jasper area farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to create a brand mark that projected confidence, financial success, and wealth.
Logo created for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
