Marion Logo Design

Nearly every new Marion organization understands that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly recognize the pivotal role their company logo will take in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo has a critical and long term impact on the prosperity of a business, pick the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Marion businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand consideration, they can be understood in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike developed for a Marion coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of the city and hoped to visualize a vintage atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs by developing a logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Marion clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine which deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog designed for a household enjoyable facility in Marion.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Marion travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Marion logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Marion logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo design understand how important a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Marion publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a published book considering that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances 1 of the traits individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was certainly a winner.

Marion logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a label style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid vintage feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Marion, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo which projected a spirit of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software developer the design features as well as renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Marion logo design dsign with an image which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t actually developed for an Marion regional farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular creative logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Logo design designed for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is reminiscent of a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
