Seymour Logo Design

Virtually every new Seymour company understands that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the key role their logo design can make in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term effect on the prosperity of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Seymour companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Seymour coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an older part of the community and really wanted to cast a vintage feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by means of creating a logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Seymour medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Seymour.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Seymour traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences through the images they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Seymour logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Seymour logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo realize how essential a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Seymour book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the aspects people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Seymour logo style used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Seymour, layout include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects because it appears that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which communicated an atmosphere of relaxation and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a distinct logo design tailored to embody the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having a different head shape and high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Logo style for a software application programmer the style attributes as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Evolve logo style created for a Seymour indoor designer, layout attribute a series of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Seymour logo design dsign along with an image which captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Seymour area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this particular trademark was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to generate an identity that projects trust, success, and luxury.
Logo created for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font style that is evocative a famous sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
