Bettendorf Logo Design

Nearly every new Bettendorf business understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely understand the essential role their business logo can perform in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo performs far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long term impact on the growth of a business, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Bettendorf businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be grasped in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Bettendorf coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an older part of the community and wanted to project a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks via creating a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for Bettendorf medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Bettendorf.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Bettendorf traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bettendorf logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Bettendorf logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Bettendorf publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a published book due to the fact that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Bettendorf logo style made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Bettendorf, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that related a feeling of relaxation and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious route of crafting merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their customers.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a horse ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software application programmer the design features and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Advance logo design produced for a Bettendorf interior developer, design attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have actually been modified to tie straight into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Bettendorf logo design job was completed for a leadership guide that helps business leaders to become more efficient at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Bettendorf business logo dsign using a graphic that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually produced for an Bettendorf area farm it was really devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to make an identity that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo designed for making use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is similar to a well-known sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
