Council Bluffs Logo Design

Every new Council Bluffs venture understands that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully understand the crucial role their organization logo will play in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term impact on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Council Bluffs companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand scrutiny, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Council Bluffs coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older part of the town and hoped to project a retro feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by designing a business logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Council Bluffs medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household enjoyable center in Council Bluffs.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Council Bluffs traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Council Bluffs logo design but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Council Bluffs logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I seriously enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest judgements on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of obstacles, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Council Bluffs publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most necessary part of a printed book given that it is often the primary thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many instances one of the aspects individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of airline flight and it was surely a success.

Council Bluffs logo style used for advertising and a label design for Vintage Case includes an archaic font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this brand concept I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Council Bluffs, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects considering that it appears that every single dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design developed for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which communicated a feeling of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo style for a software designer the design functions and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Evolve logo design created for a Council Bluffs interior developer, style attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in center of the word progressed have actually been modified to tie straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Council Bluffs logo design job was performed for a management consultant that assists business leaders to develop into more efficient at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Council Bluffs business logo dsign with a graphic which captures the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really created for an Council Bluffs area farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to create a brand mark that projects self-assurance, success, and prosperity.
Logo design made for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
