Marion Logo Design

Each and every new Marion organization understands that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly grasp the essential role their company logo can perform in their success, or precisely why one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Marion companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require scrutiny, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Marion coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an old part of the town and wished to cast a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via creating a company logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria developed for Marion clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping green frog created for a family members enjoyable center in Marion.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Marion traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I made an effort to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Marion logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Marion logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their business logo recognize how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the most significant obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Marion publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is usually the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects people usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Marion logo style used for advertising and a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Marion, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to illustrate exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which carried an atmosphere of serenity and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo design developed for a steed ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind logo design tailored to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. With a different head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most easily identifiable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small restaurant, design includes a modified script typeface which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software designer the layout attributes and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the business and in many cases the significance supporting a logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Evolve logo design developed for a Marion interior developer, design attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo style including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly knew the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Marion logo dsign along with a graphic that pulls in the attention of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really produced for an Marion area farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to make a brand mark that projects self-assurance, success, and wealth.
Logo design made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to design a business logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
