Kansas Logo Design

Nearly every new Kansas company realizes that they require a logo, yet few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the essential role their logo will play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design works far better than another. A logo has a critical and lasting influence on the growth of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Kansas companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo layout of a bike developed for a Kansas coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old section of town and hoped to visualize a vintage tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks via developing a trademark design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria created for Kansas medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design Project

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical assessment of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Kansas.

Cool Springs | Retail Branding Project

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Kansas traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Kansas logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Kansas logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design Project

The lion’s share of business logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family did not share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced assessments on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo recognize how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Kansas publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design Project

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most important part of a published book because it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book shop. For a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to spotlight their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books. This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design Project

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many cases 1 of the traits people tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was surely a success.

Kansas logo design used for marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design Project

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Kansas, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design Project

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs because it appears that virtually every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession. I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on. Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.
William McNally logo created for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design Project

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate. The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.
Logo style developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a company logo which related a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious path of designing merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is more often than not the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their customers.
Arabian horse logo style created for a steed cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design Project

Las Cafe | Logo Design Project

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, layout contains a modified script font which hovers over a group of luxuriant lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software program developer the layout features as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design Project

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Advance logo layout created for a Kansas indoor designer, style attribute a series of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design Project

logo design provided for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word progressed have been customized to tie directly right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Kansas logo design job was completed for a management coach that aids business professionals to become more effective at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.
A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Kansas logo design design using a graphic which captures the attention of vehicles and sends an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really composed for an Kansas area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of multiple that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to create a brand mark that projects trust, success, and luxury.

Kansas Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for ostensibly encountering arrowhead and the arrowheads imply that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they wanted, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s hard to hit a bullseye without understanding where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I hit a bullseye with the first try.

Logo design developed for using a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to develop a logo which worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
