Great Bend Logo Design

Every new Great Bend business realizes that they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the vital role their company logo can perform in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has a critical and lasting effect on the growth of a business, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Great Bend businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Great Bend coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening up in an old section of the area and wanted to project a vintage atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of designing a sign concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Great Bend medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is really the sole instance I remember where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable facility in Great Bend.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Great Bend traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather convey emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Great Bend logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Great Bend logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how important a logo design is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Great Bend publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most important part of a published book considering that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many instances one of the items folks tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was definitely a success.

Great Bend logo design used for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be much older cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Great Bend, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that related a spirit of ease and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program programmer the design functions and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance supporting a logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Great Bend logo dsign along with an illustration that captures the interest of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually designed for an Great Bend area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular brand was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to generate a brand mark that projected confidence, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a popular sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked directly with the business owner to develop a logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
