Salina, Kansas Logo Design

Every new Salina business understands that they require a logo, yet few new business owners fully comprehend the vital role their business logo can perform in their financial success, or exactly why one business logo works far better than another. A logo has an immediate and lasting effect on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Salina, Kansas businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Salina, Kansas coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of the area and wanted to project a retro feel without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by means of creating a custom logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Salina, Kansas medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog made for a family enjoyable center in Salina, Kansas.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Salina, Kansas traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Salina logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Salina logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his scorn for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial opinions on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Salina, Kansas book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a good sense of air travel and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Salina logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Case features an old typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be antique cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Salina, Kansas, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that related a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a business logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian equine logo design developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a unique creative logo design fashioned to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of equines. With a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly immediately identifiable equine breeds in the world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, style consists of a changed script typeface which hovers over a team of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny restaurant, design consists of a customized manuscript font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo layout for a software application developer the layout attributes and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the significance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo layout developed for a Salina, Kansas indoor designer, design feature a collection of red circles that converge and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo design.

logo design done for Advanced Management Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words progressed have actually been customized to link straight right into the words listed below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Salina, Kansas logo design project was carried out for a management guide that aids business leaders to become more effective at supervising people, expectations, and productivity.
A logo layout including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Salina logo design dsign along with an illustration which pulls in the interest of vehicles and projects an image that invokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really created for an Salina, Kansas regional farm it was in reality devised for a commodities broker, and this particular logo was one of multiple which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a brand mark that projects assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.

Salina Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo style feature for outwardly dealing with arrow as well as the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what type of logo design they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without realizing where exactly the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the 1st try.

Logo designed for the use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
