POINTERS FOR DETERMINING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo is an investment in both your time and your money so whenever a design firm presents a money back guarantee try to keep in mind that they can not reimburse the time you invest which is much more valuable than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many design firms talk a good game but in the end a designer can only be evaluated by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their portfolio doesn’t feature real world samples chances are they won’t be able to produce a quality logo design.

VISION

A logo’s objective is to be understood and be unforgettable, and it’s objective is to echo your personal vision for your business. If a designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are actually focused on is how fast they will get paid.

Elizabethtown LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping entrepreneurs develop notable brand identities. We’ve performed logo design work for farmers, educational institutions, heart surgeons, wedding singers, diners, retailers, and virtually every other kind of business you can imagine. What makes ImageCo unique compared to typical graphic designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we approach every branding project as if it will be used as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first method our identity designs can, and have been used in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first technique insures that our logo designs are equally effective whether they are used in television commercials or website headers, they are consistently recognizable, understood, and always remembered no matter of scale or purpose.

American Made ★ Design

The thing which truly sets ImageCo apart from other design companies that you probably have encountered online, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that each and every design project we are brought on board to perform, we perform ourselves. No matter the type of project we undertake, brand identity design, business website, trade show exhibit, or electric sign, we do not, and never will contract out our customer’s projects to companies located outside the US. Whenever you contact us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that answers the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not an agent that marks up the price of your design project and dictates the conditions of how my customers and I do business.

ASPECTS OF A GREAT LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Elizabethtown entrepreneur knows they probably need a logo, yet few new business owners fully grasp the pivotal role their company logo can play in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the viability of a business, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Elizabethtown companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not need contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from label to store signs a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel personal, and they are suitable for the product or organization they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and will feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

understand your brand

Brand – It is a verb as well as a noun, it’s an identifying mark and the process of marking something to ensure that it could be distinguished, its origin comes from the brand burned onto livestock. Nowadays a brand symbolizes virtually anything with a motive, whether it be profit or government agencies, a brand is an intrinsic aspect of defining the value of a specific thing in the consumer’s mind.

Branding – Is sort of like advertising and marketing’s sexy cousin, they are each from the exact same family, the difference being that advertising and marketing are about making a promise and branding’s objective is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a strategic popularity competition targeted at a target market, it’s objective is to create a mental image that the audience can relate to.

Brand Image – An image planted and nurtured by advertising and marketing and identity design. When a person says the brand names Ferrari or Mustang what we think of is their brand image, it’s an image that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and brand image is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why individuals identify with specific brands, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can relate to.

Branding Companies – If you look back at the origin of most branding agencies you’ll discover that they are frequently rebranded marketing and advertising companies. When a person says they are in marketing lots of people will likely have an idea about the type of work they do anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a designer that concentrates on a type of visual design which helps form the image of a firm, a product or a business organization. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, sign designs, product packaging, as well as collateral material such as cards, stationery, as well as pamphlets. Some visual designers also build sites and also software interfaces. The important duty of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and also a psychological tone with the objective of influencing actions, end results and also understandings.

Featured SIGNS & LOGOS

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Elizabethtown coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an old section of the area and wished to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two tasks via developing a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also germs made for Elizabethtown clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Elizabethtown.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - created for Elizabethtown traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Elizabethtown logo but also to show the depth in her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Elizabethtown logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get objective judgements on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Elizabethtown publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most important part of a printed book given that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many cases 1 of the things consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Elizabethtown logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Instance features an old font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this brand design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Elizabethtown, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a Elizabethtown hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo that carried a sense of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather delivered a company logo which implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately placed the importance on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Arabian steed logo style produced for a steed ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a one-of-a-kind custom logo concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With a distinctive head form and very high tail posture, the Arabian is one of the most immediately recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Las Cafe, A Elizabethtown restaurant logo style a tiny dining establishment, style consists of a customized manuscript font style which floats above a team of ornate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, layout includes a customized script font style which floats above a group of ornate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software developer the style features as well as famous Elizabethtown aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Develop logo design created for a Elizabethtowninterior designer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Elizabethtown interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is a person who organizes, investigates, coordinates, and manages such ventures. Interior design is a diverse profession that involves conceptual development, space planning, site assessments, programming, investigation, communicating with the stakeholders of a project, construction management, and implementation of the design.

logo design provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Elizabethtown, the personalities for letter V and also A in center of the word advanced have actually been modified to tie straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Elizabethtown logo design assignment was performed for a leadership coach that helps business leaders to develop into more successful at overseeing people, expectations, and productivity.

A Elizabethtown business logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a spot to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts.

I designed their Elizabethtown logo design utilizing an image that seizes the interest of vehicles and projects an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

Logo design MQ farms, this Elizabethtown company logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t actually developed for an Elizabethtown area farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to design a graphic that projected self-assurance, success, and luxury.

Elizabethtown Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally encountering arrow as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was totally open to what kind of logo design that they preferred, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this particular case, I struck a bullseye with the first shot.

Logo design created for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is similar to a famous Elizabethtown sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
