Gretna Logo Design

Nearly every new Gretna venture knows they require a logo, yet few new business owners entirely recognize the pivotal role their business logo will play in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term influence on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Gretna businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a Gretna coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an old part of the town and hoped to project a nostalgic tone without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of designing a sign concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria created for Gretna medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the triggers and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more focus grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a household enjoyable center in Gretna.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dentists, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Gretna travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gretna logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Gretna logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial assessments on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how essential a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s share of obstacles, however the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Gretna book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a printed book due to the fact that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the aspects individuals tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a winner.

Gretna logo style used for advertising and also a label style for Vintage Situation includes an old font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Gretna, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs due to the fact that it seems that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution hopes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a company logo which projected a feeling of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the attention on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian horse logo style created for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a one-of-a-kind company logo concept customized to symbolize the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With an unique head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily identifiable equine lineages in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small dining establishment, design contains a changed manuscript typeface which floats above a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout features and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Gretna logo design assignment was completed for a management advisor that aids business leaders to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to market their secondhand equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Gretna business logo dsign using an image that captures the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t actually produced for an Gretna area farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to make a brand mark that projected esteem, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a business logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
