New Iberia Logo Design

Virtually every new New Iberia business realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely recognize the vital role their organization logo will play in their financial success, or precisely why one logo design performs better than another. A logo has an instant and long term influence on the growth of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help New Iberia companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a New Iberia coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening in an older part of the city and really wanted to cast a retro tone without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of developing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and germs made for New Iberia medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and a lot more meaningful.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in New Iberia.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - made for New Iberia traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  New Iberia logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

New Iberia logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I really savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his scorn for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get impartial judgements on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo realize how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of difficulties, but the most significant challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for New Iberia publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is usually the initial thing a person views in the bookstore. With regard to a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances one of the aspects consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a victory.

New Iberia logo layout made use of for advertising as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in New Iberia, design include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which carried a feeling of contentment and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo style created for a steed ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian show steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software application designer the layout features and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and drive managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it symbolized something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a location to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their New Iberia logo dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo design wasn’t really designed for an New Iberia regional farm it was in reality designed for a commodities broker, and this trademark was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was to design a graphic that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design created for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to develop a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
