Slidell Logo Design

Virtually every new Slidell organization understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the key role their logo design can play in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo design functions far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the financial success of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Slidell companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Slidell coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an old part of the area and hoped to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I achieved both tasks by means of developing a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs created for Slidell clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun facility in Slidell.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a handful of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for Slidell traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Slidell logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Slidell logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with friends and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo realize how vital a logo is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Slidell book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a sense of flight and it was surely a winner.

Slidell logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an old typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid retro feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Slidell, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design jobs because it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo which communicated a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a design which did not go the obvious course of creating just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is usually the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the attention on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the substance behind a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the organization it stands for.

Evolve logo design created for a Slidell indoor designer, design feature a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Slidell logo dsign utilizing an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really developed for an Slidell area farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this logo design was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was actually to make an identity that projects confidence, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo developed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
