Saco Logo Design

Every new Saco organization realizes that they are in need of a logo, yet few new business owners entirely are aware of the pivotal role their organization logo can perform in their success, or precisely why one logo design works more effectively than another. A company logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a business, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Saco businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand consideration, they can be realized in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Saco coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an old part of the area and hoped to visualize a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of designing a logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria created for Saco medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I recall in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo style with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members fun center in Saco.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental professionals, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Saco traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be revealed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Saco logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Saco logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the worthiness of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo understand how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Saco publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender segment of real estate to work with, however it is the most essential part of a published book given that it is ordinarily the first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of flight and it was surely a victory.

Saco logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a tag layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which looked to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Saco, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize precisely how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo that conveyed a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a modified script typeface which hovers above a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software programmer the layout functions and also iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

Progress logo style created for a Saco indoor developer, style attribute a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the center of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a spot to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Saco logo design dsign utilizing a graphic that grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t actually created for an Saco regional farm it was in reality developed for a commodities broker, and this brand was one of many that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to produce an identity that projects assurance, financial success, and luxury.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a well-known sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created quite a lot of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to design a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
