Aspen Hill Logo Design

Virtually every new Aspen Hill organization understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the crucial role their business logo can take in their financial success, or exactly why one logo design functions far better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting influence on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Aspen Hill businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Aspen Hill coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of town and really wanted to cast a retro vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled both jobs by means of creating a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Aspen Hill clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family fun center in Aspen Hill.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and a tree - created for Aspen Hill travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but rather reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Aspen Hill logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Aspen Hill logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I seriously take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased point of views on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their logo design recognize how vital a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Aspen Hill publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, however it really is the most crucial part of a published book considering that it is usually the first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the aspects individuals often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Aspen Hill logo style made use of for advertising as well as a label design for Vintage Instance features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Aspen Hill, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it appears that almost every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which conveyed a spirit of ease and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the emotion that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian equine logo style produced for a steed cattle ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a tiny restaurant, layout includes a customized script typeface which hovers above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software programmer the layout features and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection in between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it represents.

Progress logo layout produced for a Aspen Hill indoor designer, design feature a series of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo layout.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly realized the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a spot to sell their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Aspen Hill logo design dsign using an image that seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really created for an Aspen Hill area farm it was actually devised for a commodities broker, and this particular business logo was one of a handful of which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop an identity that projects esteem, success, and affluence.
Logo design developed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
