Bel Air South Logo Design

Every new Bel Air South company knows they are in need of a logo, however few new business owners fully are aware of the crucial role their business logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo performs far better than another. A logo has an immediate and long-term effect on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Bel Air South companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle produced for a Bel Air South coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening up in an old section of the town and hoped to visualize an old-fashioned vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks via designing a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo style with a microscope slide as well as bacteria developed for Bel Air South clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which analyzes the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that deals with the clinical evaluation of samplings of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in Bel Air South.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Bel Air South travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Bel Air South logo design but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Bel Air South logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logo designs are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo design recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design project possesses it’s share of obstacles, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Bel Air South publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a printed book because it is often the very first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it seems like that in many instances one of the things folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Bel Air South logo design utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be antique cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Bel Air South, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dentistry logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo that communicated an atmosphere of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting just a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the emphasis on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a steed ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original logo concept fashioned to epitomize the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having a different head shape and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the most quite easily recognizable horse lineages in the entire world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo design a tiny dining establishment, design includes a customized script font style which floats above a team of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software programmer the layout features and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and disk managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it represented something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their previously owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Bel Air South logo design dsign with an illustration that pulls in the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually developed for an Bel Air South regional farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create an identity that projects assurance, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font style that is evocative a renowned sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the owner to design a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
