Carney Logo Design

Virtually every new Carney organization understands that they are in need of a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely realize the crucial role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo performs better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining influence on the financial success of a business, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Carney businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be timeless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Carney coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually launching in an older section of the area and really wanted to project an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by means of creating a custom logo concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Carney medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a jumping green frog developed for a family members fun center in Carney.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - made for Carney travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but rather project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Carney logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Carney logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get honest point of views on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a strange creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how essential a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s share of challenges, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Carney publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a printed book given that it is in most cases the primary thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the opportunity they will ever have to publicize their label and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was definitely a success.

Carney logo style used for advertising and marketing and a label layout for Vintage Case includes an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be used for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Carney, design consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects because it seems that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dental care logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the folks in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo design produced for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that related an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of creating just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the feeling that they wanted to transmit to their customers.

Logo layout for a software application developer the design features and legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly realized the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Carney business logo dsign using an image that grabs the attention of vehicles and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t really composed for an Carney area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this particular company logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to create a image that projected trust, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design made for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
