Chillum Logo Design

Every new Chillum organization understands that they need a logo, yet few entrepreneurs entirely understand the crucial role their logo can perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one business logo performs far better than another. A company logo has an instant and sustaining impact on the growth of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Chillum businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Chillum coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and bistro were launching in an old part of the town and wished to cast a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks via designing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria made for Chillum medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping environment-friendly frog developed for a household fun facility in Chillum.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Chillum travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Chillum logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Chillum logo style with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however the client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Chillum book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most crucial part of a published book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences 1 of the items people tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Chillum logo layout used for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Instance features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Chillum, design include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that almost every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design that communicated a sense of peace and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which suggested a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo layout a little restaurant, layout contains a modified manuscript font which hovers over a team of ornate lines and dots.

Logo design for a software application programmer the design functions and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

Progress logo style developed for a Chillum interior designer, style function a series of red circles that converge as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Chillum logo design job was undertaken for a leadership consultant that enables business professionals to become more effective at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Chillum logo design dsign with an image that pulls in the attention of vehicles and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually created for an Chillum area farm it was in reality designed for an investments broker, and this particular company was one of multiple which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to produce an identity that projects assurance, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is similar to a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
