Cloverly Logo Design

Each and every new Cloverly company understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners fully recognize the key role their logo design will play in their financial success, or why one logo functions more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long-term effect on the prosperity of a company, choose the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Cloverly businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike created for a Cloverly coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening in an older section of town and really wanted to cast an old-fashioned vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via developing a sign design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide as well as bacteria created for Cloverly clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that examines the causes and effects of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that deals with the laboratory examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable center in Cloverly.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Cloverly traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Cloverly logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Cloverly logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to talk about it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the merit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo understand how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Cloverly publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. With regard to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it seems like that in many cases one of the things consumers often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was definitely a success.

Cloverly logo layout used for advertising and marketing and a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I strove to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Cloverly, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a household nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to explain specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo layout produced for a hair style studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which projected an atmosphere of peace and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of designing merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is oftentimes the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo layout a tiny restaurant, style includes a modified script typeface which floats above a group of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout functions as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Evolve logo style developed for a Cloverly indoor designer, style function a collection of red circles that intersect and replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Cloverly business logo dsign along with an image which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Cloverly regional farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to generate an identity that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and affluence.
Logo design created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo design which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
