Fairland Logo Design

Virtually every new Fairland business knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly understand the key role their business logo will play in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo functions better than another. A company logo has an instant and lasting influence on the financial success of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Fairland companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a Fairland coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were actually opening in an older section of town and wished to project a vintage feel without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both tasks via creating a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs made for Fairland medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical evaluation of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable center in Fairland.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Fairland traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty niche field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead project emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Fairland logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Fairland logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A but my client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Fairland publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, but it is the most important part of a published book since it is ordinarily the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With respect to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects folks tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Fairland logo layout utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Fairland, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design designed for a family not-for-profit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo which projected a feeling of calmness and elegance for their new hair studio. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather created a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the incorrect direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the emphasis on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Arabian horse logo design developed for a horse ranch that concentrates on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original logotype concept styled to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of horses. By having a different head form and higher tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable horse breeds in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo layout a small restaurant, style includes a modified manuscript font which hovers over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo layout for a software program developer the design functions and also renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the organization it represents.

Evolve logo layout created for a Fairland interior designer, style attribute a series of red circles that converge and change the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

logo style provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the characters for letter V and also A in middle of words progressed have been modified to connect straight right into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Fairland logo design assignment was performed for a leadership specialist that helps business professionals to develop into more successful at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Fairland logo design dsign along with an illustration which garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo style has a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t actually produced for an Fairland regional farm it was really created for a commodities broker, and this brand was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to develop an identity that projected confidence, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo developed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript typeface that is similar to a famous sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to produce a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
