Greater Upper Marlboro Logo Design

Every new Greater Upper Marlboro company knows they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs entirely understand the essential role their organization logo can play in their success, or the reason that one logo works far better than another. A logo design has an immediate and long-term influence on the success of a company, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Greater Upper Marlboro companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t demand contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and equally emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle produced for a Greater Upper Marlboro coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were opening in an older part of the city and wanted to visualize a retro vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished both tasks by designing a company logo design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Greater Upper Marlboro clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which deals with the laboratory examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I recall in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping eco-friendly frog made for a family enjoyable facility in Greater Upper Marlboro.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Greater Upper Marlboro traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often share whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I made an effort to do something comparable to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greater Upper Marlboro logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Greater Upper Marlboro logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however my client, even though he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get impartial opinions on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logo designs are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo recognize how vital a logo design is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Greater Upper Marlboro publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is usually the initial thing a person views in the book store. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will ever get to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many instances 1 of the things consumers tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Greater Upper Marlboro logo layout utilized for advertising and a label layout for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Greater Upper Marlboro, layout include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo jobs considering that it appears that every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dentists do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family members nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that explains itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that carried a spirit of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is generally the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo style for a software application developer the layout functions as well as legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.
