Hanover Logo Design

Nearly every new Hanover business knows they are in need of a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully grasp the crucial role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo functions better than another. A business logo has a critical and long term effect on the success of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Hanover companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require contemplation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Hanover coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of town and wished to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by developing a business logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and also germs created for Hanover medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that studies the root causes and consequences of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family enjoyable center in Hanover.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Hanover travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead communicate emotional experiences through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of almost all professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Hanover logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Hanover logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I genuinely relish and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s allotment of challenges, however the biggest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Hanover publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it really is the most critical part of a printed book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book shop. For a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars customized to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the aspects people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of airline flight and it was definitely a winner.

Hanover logo layout utilized for advertising and also a tag design for Vintage Case includes an antiquated font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could easily be utilized for everything from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Hanover, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it appears that every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really enjoy doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which communicated an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I created a concept that didn’t go the obvious course of crafting merely a stylized orchid but instead created a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is in most cases the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the emotion that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo style for a software application designer the style features as well as legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

logo layout provided for Advanced Leadership Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in center of the word advanced have been modified to tie straight right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo layout featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to sell their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Hanover logo design dsign using an illustration which garners the interest of vehicles and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo design has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Hanover area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to develop a graphic that projected confidence, effectiveness, and wealth.
Logo created for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the business owner to design a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
