Pasadena Logo Design

Each and every new Pasadena venture understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners fully recognize the key role their business logo will perform in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Pasadena businesses prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will be legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Pasadena coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an old section of the city and wanted to cast a vintage vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks via creating a custom logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria created for Pasadena medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which analyzes the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of samplings of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more interesting, more attention grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Pasadena.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better dynamic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Pasadena travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences through the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of almost all good photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Pasadena logo design but also to show the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Pasadena logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I honestly relish and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but the client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral assessments on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family members and they loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to create their business logo realize how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the outcome. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the biggest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, design for Pasadena book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin slice of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is often the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity that they will likely ever have to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it looks like that in many occurrences 1 of the items consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young start-up commuter/shuttle airline situated in LA and while I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to conferring a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Pasadena logo design made use of for advertising and a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an old font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Pasadena, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to suggest steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company advertising, if dining establishments approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to explain exactly how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which communicated a spirit of peace and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather crafted a company logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the emphasis on the perception that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo layout developed for an equine ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Las Coffee shop logo style a tiny restaurant, style contains a changed script font style which floats over a group of luxuriant lines as well as dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Coffee shop logo style a little dining establishment, layout consists of a changed script font style which hovers above a team of ornate lines as well as dots.

Logo style for a software developer the design attributes and iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the significance behind a business logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

Evolve logo design developed for a Pasadena interior developer, design attribute a series of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

logo design done for Advanced Management Solutions, the personalities for letter V and A in middle of words advanced have actually been changed to link directly right into words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This particular Pasadena logo design project was done for a management advisor that aids business leaders to become more efficient at managing people, expectations, and productivity.

A logo style including an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting retailer that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Pasadena logo design dsign along with an illustration that grabs the attention of traffic and projects an image that calls to mind the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t really developed for an Pasadena regional farm it was actually developed for a commodities broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to develop a graphic that projected trust, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo developed for the use of an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a renowned sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking in which I worked closely with the owner to create a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
