Randallstown Logo Design

Virtually every new Randallstown venture understands that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully recognize the essential role their organization logo can perform in their financial success, or the reason that one logo design performs far better than another. A logo design has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Randallstown businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Randallstown coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an older section of the community and really wanted to cast a vintage vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both jobs by developing a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and germs developed for Randallstown clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I call to mind in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Generally I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Randallstown.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more dynamic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Randallstown traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers don’t shoot locations or things but instead reveal emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they often share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Randallstown logo but also to show the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Randallstown logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get objective opinions on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo design realize how vital a logo design is for their organization so they are much more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s portion of challenges, however the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Randallstown book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is often the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of flight and it was certainly a victory.

Randallstown logo style used for marketing as well as a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo design I attempted to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in Randallstown, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would most likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wishes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo style produced for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo which projected a spirit of relaxation and class for their new hair studio. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the importance on the perception that they really wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software designer the style functions and also renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Randallstown logo design dsign utilizing an illustration which seizes the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Randallstown area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to make a graphic that projected assurance, success, and affluence.
Logo design designed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a famous sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the business owner to create a business logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
