STRATEGIES ON CHOOSING THE RIGHT LOGO DESIGNER

BUDGET

A logo design is an investment in both your time and your money so anytime a design firm presents a money back guarantee try to remember that they can not refund the amount of time you commit which is eminently more precious than your money is.

PORTFOLIO

Many designers talk a good game but in the end a design firm can only be judged by the quality of their portfolio, if the work in their portfolio does not contain actual examples odds are they will not be able to produce a premium logo design.

VISION

A logo’s goal is to be understood and remembered, and it’s goal is to echo your unique vision for your organization. If a designer is not focused on fulfilling your vision, the thing they are really focused on is how quickly they will get paid.

Seabrook LOGO DESIGN

For over 2 decades ImageCo has been helping small business owners develop unforgettable brand identities. We’ve performed branding work for farmers, colleges, diamond miners, wedding singers, coffee roasters, retail stores, and practically every other kind of business you can think of. What makes us unique compared to traditional designers is that our background is rooted in the electrical sign industry so we undertake every branding project as though it will be employed as an electrical sign. Because of our sign first technique our designs can, and have been utilized in everything from garment labels to billboards. Our sign first method ensures that our logo designs are equally effective whether they are used in television commercials or web headers, they are consistently identifiable, comprehended, and remembered irrespective of size or application.

American Made ★ Design

The one difference which seriously sets ImageCo apart from many of the design firms that you probably have stumbled upon in Google’s search results, companies like Thumbtack, Design Hill, Upwork, or Crowdspring is that absolutely every project we are retained to perform, we do ourselves. Regardless of the type of project we undertake, logo design, website, trade show exhibit, or electrical sign, we do not, and never will job out our customer’s work to 3rd parties based outside the US. Whenever you phone us at 1-855-IMAGECO the individual that picks up the telephone is ImageCo’s owner and designer, not a broker that increases the price of your design project and dictates the conditions of how my customers and I do business.

CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD LOGO DESIGN

Virtually every new Seabrook business realizes that they require a logo, but few start-ups thoroughly understand the crucial role their company logo can make in their financial success, or why one logo design performs more effectively than another. A business logo has a critical and long term effect on the success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Seabrook companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t need deliberation, they can be grasped in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will remain legible and equally emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos which work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they feel right, and they are suitable for the product or organization they brand.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be timeless and should feel equally relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

understand your brand

Brand – It’s a verb and also a noun, it is an identifying mark as well as the act of marking something to make sure that it can be distinguished, its genesis originates from the mark burned onto animals. Today a brand signifies practically anything with an intention, regardless of whether it be revenue or government agencies, a brand is an innate aspect of specifying the value of a specific thing in the public’s mind.

Branding – Is kind of like marketing and advertising’s sexy cousin, they are both from the same family, the distinction being that marketing and advertising have to do with making a promise and branding’s goal is to deliver on that promise. Branding is also a calculated popularity competition directed at a specific audience, it’s objective is to produce an image that the target market will connect to.

Brand Image – An image planted and cultivated through advertising and marketing as well as identity design. When someone states the brand names Lamborghini or Corvette what we consider is their brand image, it’s a picture that exists in our minds. That image isn’t an image of an automobile with 4 wheels that can deliver us from point A to point B, the image we have (or at least I have) is of speed, elegance, of something dangerous and sexy . That is brand image and that is what makes individuals want those brands. Brand image is why individuals buy most things, from Nike to Adidas Chevy or Ford, Democrats or Republicans … all driven by brand images that people can identify with.

Branding Firms – If you look back at the origin of the majority of branding agencies you’ll find that they are often re-branded advertising and marketing companies. When someone states they are in advertising many people will likely have a preconceived notion about what they do. But when somebody claims “I am in branding”… it just seems more attractive, maybe it’s since many people do not recognize what it suggests to be in branding so it comes off as more mysterious and perhaps even sexy.

Brand Identity – Is an inclusive term that defines the visual elements of a product or agency that influence understandings. This mostly includes the name, the logo, the packaging, the different colors used yet can likewise include audio, lighting, texture, signs, just about anything that can be seen, touched or heard belong to a brand identity.

Brand Identity Designers
– A brand identity designer is a graphic designer that specializes in a type of visual design which helps shape the perception of a business, a product or a company. Brand identity designers produce logo designs, sign designs, packaging, as well as collateral material such as business cards, stationery, and pamphlets. Some identity designers also build sites as well as software interfaces. The vital duty of a brand identity designer is to develop the visual cues and a psychological tone with the goal of influencing activities, end results and also perceptions.

Featured logos & signs

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Seabrook coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older part of town and wanted to cast a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished both of these tasks by means of designing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Seabrook clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the clinical evaluation of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more intriguing, more focus grabbing and even more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog made for a family members fun facility in Seabrook.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Seabrook travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Seabrook logo design but also to reveal the depth in her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Seabrook logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire an expert to design their logo design recognize how essential a logo design is for their company so they are much more vested in the outcome. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, style for Seabrook book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most essential part of a printed book since it is usually the initial thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their label and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many occurrences one of the traits individuals usually tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Seabrook logo style utilized for marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation features an antiquated font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this brand design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Seabrook, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo projects considering that it seems that each and every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental care logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo design created for a Seabrook hair style workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design which carried a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a logo design which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is generally the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their customers.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a horse cattle ranch that specializes in reproducing Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo designed a unique business logo concept styled to exemplify the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. With a different head shape and higher tail posture, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine lineages in the world.

Las Cafe, A Seabrook restaurant logo layout a little restaurant, layout includes a changed manuscript font which hovers over a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo style a tiny dining establishment, style consists of a changed manuscript font which hovers over a group of ornate lines and also dots.

Logo design for a software designer the design attributes and also famous Seabrook component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and drive operations. The kernel links the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Develop logo design developed for a Seabrookinterior developer, layout feature a collection of red circles that intersect as well as replace the letter O in the middle of the logo design.

Evolv Interior Design | Logo Design | Branding

Evolv Design is a Seabrook interior design company and this logo design is representational of the work that an interior designer does in. An interior designer is somebody who arranges, investigates, coordinates, and oversees such ventures. Interior design is a diverse occupation that consists of conceptual development, space planning, site inspections, programming, research, corresponding with the stakeholders of a project, building and construction supervision, and implementation of the design.

logo layout done for Advanced Leadership Solutions in Seabrook, the characters for letter V and A in middle of the word advanced have actually been changed to connect straight into the words below.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Seabrook logo design project was performed for a management specialist that helps business leaders to become more efficient at overseeing people, expectations, and profitability.

A Seabrook business logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to market their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts.

I tailored their Seabrook business logo design with an illustration which garners the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.

Logo layout MQ ranches, this Seabrook company logo design has an area included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually composed for an Seabrook regional farm it was in reality created for a commodities broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to generate a graphic that projected self-confidence, success, and wealth.

Seabrook Logo design for a nonprofit, Turning Factor Solutions - the logo layout function for ostensibly facing arrowhead and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they would like, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the opportunity to explore any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without recognizing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this particular case, I nailed a bullseye with the first try.

Logo created for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a popular Seabrook sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo design that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
