Amesbury Logo Design

Every new Amesbury company realizes that they need a logo, but few entrepreneurs fully recognize the crucial role their business logo will play in their success, or the reason that one logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term effect on the success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Amesbury businesses prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand deliberation, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle developed for a Amesbury coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee shop were launching in an older part of the town and wished to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as boring or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via creating a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide and also bacteria made for Amesbury clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the causes and effects of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical examination of specimens of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that helps make it more appealing, more focus grabbing and even more memorable.

logo layout with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun facility in Amesbury.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Amesbury travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers don’t capture places or things but instead reveal emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they frequently convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Amesbury logo but also to show the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Amesbury logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his aversion for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral assessments on the value of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their logo understand how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo job has it’s allotment of hurdles, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for Amesbury publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender slice of real estate to work with, yet it is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is usually the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever have to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go however it seems that in many instances one of the things people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Amesbury logo style used for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance features an old font design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that had a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Amesbury, layout include an arc with lines converging via it to suggest metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business branding, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental practitioners do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself won’t have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair design studio including a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that projected a feeling of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious course of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Arabian equine logo design produced for an equine ranch that concentrates on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original creative logo concept styled to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having an identifiable head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily recognizable horse types in the world.

Logo style for a software program programmer the design features and also famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the substance behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

Advance logo layout produced for a Amesbury interior developer, layout attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and also replace the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo design including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a place to sell off their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Amesbury logo dsign using an illustration that garners the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t actually composed for an Amesbury regional farm it was really designed for a products broker, and this company logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to generate a brand mark that projected self-confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo design made for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the business owner to design a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
