Beverly Logo Design

Each and every new Beverly company realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely grasp the pivotal role their logo can perform in their financial success, or why one logo works better than another. A business logo has an immediate and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and an impediment for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Beverly companies succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require consideration, they can be understood in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo should be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Beverly coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee shop were actually opening in an old section of the community and hoped to project a vintage vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by means of creating a trademark design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs developed for Beverly clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine that works with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Usually I try not to be extremely literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a leaping green frog created for a family fun facility in Beverly.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy atmosphere.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - developed for Beverly travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche sector because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but instead project emotional experiences through the images they capture. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Beverly logo but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Beverly logo design with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with colleagues and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get unbiased assessments on the worthiness of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to create their business logo understand how important a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the outcome. Every logo project has it’s allotment of difficulties, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Beverly publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most vital part of a printed book due to the fact that it is often the initial thing a person views in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances one of the aspects individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of airline flight and it was certainly a victory.

Beverly logo design utilized for marketing and a tag design for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another generation.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Beverly, design include an arc with lines intersecting through it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects considering that it appears that each and every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care industry.

I really love doing dental care logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family members nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The intention of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo design created for a hair design workshop including a manuscript font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo design that projected an atmosphere of calmness and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious route of making merely a stylized orchid but rather crafted a business logo that suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a business logo is frequently the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the attention on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo style for a software designer the design functions and also legendary element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that acts as a bridge between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a company logo is just as important as how it brands the enterprise it represents.

Progress logo layout developed for a Beverly interior designer, design attribute a collection of red circles that intersect and also change the letter O in the center of the logo layout.

A logo style featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Beverly logo design dsign using an image that garners the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo design wasn’t actually designed for an Beverly area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to produce a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and luxury.
Logo design created for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript typeface that is reminiscent of a well-known sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to produce a business logo which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
