Braintree Logo Design

Nearly every new Braintree venture realizes that they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly grasp the vital role their business logo will make in their becoming successful, or exactly why one logo performs far better than another. A business logo has an instant and long term influence on the financial success of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a business. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Braintree companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Braintree coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an older section of the community and wanted to visualize a vintage vibe without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled both of these jobs by developing a business logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo style with a microscopic lense slide and germs designed for Braintree clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that works with the clinical examination of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Generally I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more interest grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo design with a jumping green frog created for a family members fun facility in Braintree.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - developed for Braintree traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but rather project emotional experiences through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Braintree logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Braintree logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to share it with friends and colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get honest judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how important a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s share of difficulties, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Braintree publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most vital part of a published book because it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever get to publicize their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems like that in many cases one of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a spirit of air travel and it was surely a victory.

Braintree logo style used for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which appeared to be older cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different era.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Braintree, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most challenging logo design projects because it appears that every dentist features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 characters surprised in elevation to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to describe how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair style workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that related a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead delivered a logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is in most cases the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the perception that they wanted to project to their clients.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind creative logo design fashioned to manifest the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With a distinctive head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Logo design for a software application designer the design features and renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it represented something to the owner of the business and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

A logo design including an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to sell off their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Braintree logo design dsign along with an illustration that garners the attention of vehicles and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has actually an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really composed for an Braintree area farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular creative logo was one of several that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to develop a brand mark that projected assurance, financial success, and wealth.
Logo made for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked closely with the owner to design a logo design which worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
