Easthampton Logo Design

Every new Easthampton company knows they need a logo, yet few new business owners entirely comprehend the key role their logo design can make in their financial success, or why one logo performs better than another. A logo design has a critical and long-term impact on the prosperity of a business, select the right one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Easthampton companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not require deliberation, they can be comprehended in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will stay legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Easthampton coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening in an old section of the city and hoped to project a nostalgic vibe without coming across as boring or low energy. I fulfilled the two tasks by creating a company logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Easthampton medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the clinical evaluation of specimens of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more intriguing, more attention grabbing and much more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog made for a family enjoyable center in Easthampton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a few springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Easthampton travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with just words. I attempted to do something similar to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Easthampton logo but also to reveal the depth in her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Easthampton logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design projects that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but my client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get honest opinions on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo understand how crucial a logo is for their organization so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of obstacles, however the greatest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Easthampton publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most critical part of a printed book due to the fact that it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. Concerning a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart but it seems that in many instances 1 of the traits people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo design didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a sense of flight and it was certainly a success.

Easthampton logo layout utilized for marketing and a tag style for Vintage Case includes an archaic font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a website to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different generation.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Easthampton, layout consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that every single dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business marketing, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really love doing dentist business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a household nonprofit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to explain specifically how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout produced for a hair design studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo that projected an atmosphere of simplicity and connection for their new hair salon. I created a concept that did not go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is generally the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately placed the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program designer the style attributes and famous element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and hard drive managing. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a spot to sell their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Easthampton logo design dsign utilizing an image that grabs the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo concept wasn’t really composed for an Easthampton regional farm it was in reality developed for a products broker, and this company was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to develop a graphic that projected self-confidence, success, and affluence.
Logo developed for the use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
