Everett, Massachusetts Logo Design

Nearly every new Everett business professional understands that they need a logo, however few new business owners entirely understand the pivotal role their business logo can make in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo works better than another. A company logo has an immediate and long-term influence on the financial success of a company, go with the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Everett, Massachusetts businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos which function on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be lasting and should feel as relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.
Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Everett, Massachusetts coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffee bar were opening up in an older part of the city and really wanted to project a vintage feel without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two tasks via creating a company logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, high energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo design with a microscopic lense slide and bacteria designed for Everett, Massachusetts medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of specimens of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the only instance I recollect in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves quite literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and much more unforgettable.

logo layout with a leaping green frog developed for a household enjoyable facility in Everett, Massachusetts.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I did was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Everett, Massachusetts traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of most good photographers in that they often share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by employing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Everett logo design but also to illustrate the depth to her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Everett logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of business logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I urge them to talk about it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get objective judgements on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that tend to hire a professional to design their business logo comprehend how crucial a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of difficulties, but the greatest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Everett, Massachusetts book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most crucial part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the primary thing a person views in the book store. For a publishing company, it’s the opportunity they will likely ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go nevertheless it seems like that in many instances 1 of the traits people usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small startup commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a good sense of flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Everett logo layout made use of for advertising and marketing and also a label layout for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which appeared to be much older cases. For this brand concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Everett, Massachusetts, design include an arc with lines converging with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I actually love doing dentistry business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a family nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 personalities staggered in height to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If you have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and also an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that related a spirit of simplicity and elegance for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious path of crafting simply a stylized orchid but rather delivered a logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo itself. The obvious path in designing a company logo is usually the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their patrons.

Logo layout for a software application designer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge between the software and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a logo design is equally as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

A logo design including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a location to market their used equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Everett logo design dsign using an image that garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really created for an Everett, Massachusetts area farm it was really developed for an investments broker, and this logo was one of a handful of which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to make a graphic that projects trust, financial success, and luxury.

Everett Logo design for a not-for-profit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo style attribute for outwardly encountering arrowhead as well as the arrowheads suggest that it is a ruby form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design they desired, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye without understanding where exactly the target is. Fortunately, in this case, I nailed a bullseye with the 1st go.

Logo created for using an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a popular sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments, and eateries all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
