Gardner Logo Design

Virtually every new Gardner business knows they need a logo, however few new business owners thoroughly realize the vital role their logo design will make in their success, or exactly why one logo design performs far better than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Gardner businesses succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will remain legible and equally emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo must be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Gardner coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an older part of town and really wanted to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved the two jobs via designing a sign design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria designed for Gardner medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of medicine that works with the clinical examination of specimens of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, however it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family members enjoyable facility in Gardner.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a more dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I did was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Gardner traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers don’t shoot places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the images they record. The idea behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I tried to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Gardner logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Gardner logo layout with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get honest point of views on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they really liked the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their business so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, style for Gardner book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped slice of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book considering that it is in most cases the very first thing a person sees in the bookstore. Regarding a publisher, it’s the most ideal opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it looks like that in many instances one of the aspects people often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their business logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a winner.

Gardner logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a tag style for Vintage Case features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this brand design I strove to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could be used for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Gardner, style include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family nonprofit, the logo features 4 personalities surprised in elevation to represent a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design that conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the chance to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that projected a sense of tranquility and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious path of creating simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a company logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl featured into the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is more often than not the wrong course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo style for a software application programmer the layout features and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo design featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of passions, a place to sell off their secondhand products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Gardner business logo dsign with a graphic that grabs the attention of traffic and sends an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area integrated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms custom logo concept wasn’t actually developed for an Gardner regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this business logo was one of several that fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a brand mark that projected self-assurance, financial success, and opulence.
Logo design made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font that is evocative a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the proprietor to develop a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
