Greenfield Logo Design

Nearly every new Greenfield business knows they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the vital role their organization logo will play in their success, or why one logo design functions far better than another. A logo has an instant and sustaining influence on the financial success of a business, select the correct one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Greenfield companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these five features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand contemplation, they can be realized in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be ageless and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and forty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Greenfield coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually opening in an old part of the city and really wanted to cast a retro feel without appearing as boring or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by means of creating a business logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs designed for Greenfield clinical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which examines the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the field of medicine which deals with the laboratory assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo layout with a jumping environment-friendly frog made for a family fun center in Greenfield.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Greenfield traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather communicate emotional journeys through the pictures they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of almost all professional photographers in that they frequently convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with just words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by employing the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Greenfield logo but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Greenfield logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design jobs that I take on I honestly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however my customer, while he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his hatred for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to share it with colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design recognize how crucial a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also providing the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Greenfield book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most critical part of a published book since it is in most cases the very first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart nevertheless it looks like that in many instances one of the things individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their logo design didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Greenfield logo layout made use of for marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Instance includes an archaic font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid vintage feel to it and could be used for everything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Greenfield, style include an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can be one of the most difficult logo projects because it seems that each and every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental practices do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a design that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his city. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain portrayals of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be very literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which conveyed an atmosphere of ease and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a design that did not go the obvious path of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo that implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Logo design for a software program programmer the style attributes and renowned component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk managing. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the substance behind a company logo is just as important as how it serves the business it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly recognized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Greenfield business logo dsign with a graphic that garners the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really designed for an Greenfield area farm it was actually created for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to design a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and affluence.
Logo design developed for the use of an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font that is evocative a popular sports group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted dozens of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat undertaking where I worked directly with the business owner to create a logo design that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
