Lynn, Massachusetts Logo Design

Nearly every new Lynn venture realizes that they require a logo, however few new business owners entirely recognize the vital role their organization logo will perform in their financial success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has an instant and long-term impact on the growth of a company, go with the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Lynn, Massachusetts companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require scrutiny, they can be understood in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will stay legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any sort of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Lynn, Massachusetts coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and cafe were opening up in an older part of the community and hoped to project a nostalgic tone without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled both tasks by means of designing a symbol concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo design with a microscope slide and also bacteria developed for Lynn, Massachusetts clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that analyzes the causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare which works with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is really the only instance I recall where I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, however it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo design with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a family members enjoyable facility in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a handful of springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Lynn, Massachusetts travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead convey emotional experiences by means of the images they record. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they oftentimes share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something similar to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Lynn logo but also to illustrate the depth to her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Lynn logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A but the customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man seriously loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his friends and family did not share his contempt for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective judgements on the value of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Business logos are a strange animal in the design world given that the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their company so they are way more invested in the final result. Every logo job possesses it’s portion of difficulties, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, layout for Lynn, Massachusetts book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most necessary part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo made for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with benches changed to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it looks like that in many cases one of the traits people often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest startup commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and while I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to affording a sense of flight and it was certainly a winner.

Lynn logo style made use of for marketing and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for musical instruments, which seemed to be vintage cases. For this custom logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Lynn, Massachusetts, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business branding, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dental offices do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and inevitably I created a concept that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was apparent was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo design to explain exactly how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style produced for a hair style studio featuring a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo which conveyed a sense of simplicity and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept which didn’t go the obvious course of crafting merely a stylized orchid but rather designed a logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is usually the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the focus on the emotion that they really wanted to project to their customers.

Logo style for a software designer the style features and also renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a connection between the software and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the enterprise it represents.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a location to sell their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Lynn business logo dsign along with an illustration that pulls in the attention of traffic and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has a field incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem concept wasn’t really created for an Lynn, Massachusetts area farm it was really devised for a products broker, and this particular company was one of many that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was really to create an identity that projected assurance, financial success, and affluence.

Lynn Logo design for a not-for-profit, Turning Point Solutions - the logo layout attribute for externally facing arrow and the arrowheads imply that it is a diamond form.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design they wanted, this can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it gives a designer the freedom to delve into any idea that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of knowing where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this instance, I struck a bullseye with the very first go.

Logo designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate manuscript font style that is reminiscent of a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the business owner to design a logo design that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
