Milton Logo Design

Every new Milton business understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs fully grasp the pivotal role their business logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one business logo functions more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining impact on the success of a company, select the right one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life span of a business. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Milton businesses succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require deliberation, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will be legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo layout of a bike produced for a Milton coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an older part of the community and really wanted to project a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished the two tasks by designing a custom logo concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

clinical logo design with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Milton medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of medicine that deals with the clinical assessment of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be extremely literal with a design and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents rather literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and even more memorable.

logo style with a leaping eco-friendly frog designed for a family members enjoyable facility in Milton.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my concept and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - made for Milton traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers don’t capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys through the images they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is representative of most professional photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Milton logo but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Milton logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A however the customer, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular guy genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family didn’t share his contempt for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their business logo comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are much more invested in the final result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of challenges, but the largest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Milton book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow piece of real estate to work with, however it is the most crucial part of a printed book given that it is often the primary thing a person views in the bookstore. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the most ideal opportunity they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it seems that in many occurrences 1 of the traits people often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle airline based in LA and while I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Milton logo style made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, that looked to be much older cases. For this business logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that provided a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different era.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Milton, layout consist of an arc with lines converging via it to imply steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it seems that every single dentist includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental offices do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a design that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household nonprofit, the logo design features 4 personalities surprised in height to represent a family unit with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be very literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to describe specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If you have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo design developed for a hair style studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo that related a spirit of contentment and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept which did not go the obvious direction of creating merely a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by placing emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo layout for a software program programmer the style functions and iconic aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and hard drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that operates as a bridge in between the software and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone pertaining to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is just as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the founders of On the Fly knew the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to market their secondhand goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Milton logo design dsign along with an image that seizes the interest of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually developed for an Milton regional farm it was really designed for a commodities broker, and this business logo was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to create a graphic that projects self-assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo design designed for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate manuscript font style that is evocative a popular sporting activities group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake pastry shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project where I worked closely with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a great job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
