North Chicopee Logo Design

Every new North Chicopee organization realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly grasp the pivotal role their logo design will play in their success, or why one logo performs more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long term influence on the prosperity of a company, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life span of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help North Chicopee companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at every size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle created for a North Chicopee coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening up in an old section of the area and hoped to cast a retro vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I achieved each of the jobs via developing a company logo design that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

medical logo style with a microscope slide as well as germs designed for North Chicopee medical facility.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which investigates the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare that works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the only instance I call to mind where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide right into a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves fairly literally, however it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more appealing, more interest grabbing and even more unforgettable.

logo layout with a jumping green frog created for a household fun facility in North Chicopee.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental practices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the full name of the business has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to feature a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun destination to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a flock of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and also a tree - made for North Chicopee travel digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly niche field of photography and I think it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes share whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey much more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I tried to do something very similar to this logo design by making use of the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  North Chicopee logo but also to reveal the depth of her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

North Chicopee logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design jobs that I take on I honestly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the character A however the customer, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this particular breed of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to discuss it with friends and family as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get neutral point of views on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really loved the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo recognize how crucial a logo design is for their business so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the biggest challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for North Chicopee book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped piece of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most crucial part of a published book since it is often the first thing a person sees in the bookstore. With regard to a publisher, it’s the best opportunity they will ever get to advertise their label and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, picturesque and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart yet it seems that in many instances 1 of the traits consumers usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller new venture commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of air travel and it was certainly a success.

North Chicopee logo layout used for advertising and also a tag style for Vintage Situation features an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be older cases. For this brand concept I attempted to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could be utilized for everything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another point in time.

Logo produced for an orthodontist in North Chicopee, design consist of an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs considering that it seems that virtually every dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental business logos are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business marketing, if restaurants approached their branding in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care business logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The aim of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to explain specifically how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo design that describes itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a logo design which carried a feeling of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious direction of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather created a logo design that implied a flower in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is generally the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application developer the design attributes and also legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the central component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel attaches the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge between the software and hardware.

The logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it meant something to the owner of the company and in many cases the meaning behind a business logo is just as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly presents a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a place to market their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their North Chicopee business logo dsign along with an image which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo style has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an North Chicopee regional farm it was actually developed for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was actually to generate an identity that projected esteem, financial success, and opulence.
Logo made for making use of an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is reminiscent of a popular sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked closely with the proprietor to create a logo which worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
