Randolph Logo Design

Every new Randolph company knows they need a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly realize the key role their business logo will take in their financial success, or precisely why one logo works far better than another. A logo has a critical and long-term influence on the financial success of a business, choose the correct one and it will make the door swing and phone ring, go with the incorrect one and it will be a barrier and an impediment for the life of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Randolph companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the main reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t demand consideration, they can be realized in just a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will remain legible and just as emotive at every scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo design needs to be enduring and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle produced for a Randolph coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were opening in an old part of the community and hoped to cast a nostalgic vibe without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I achieved both jobs by creating a custom logo concept that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and also bacteria designed for Randolph clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that examines the root causes and consequences of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the clinical examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect in which I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Normally I try not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and a lot more unforgettable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog created for a household fun facility in Randolph.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the kinds of jobs that come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, in the end I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they used for advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I created was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, and also a tree - made for Randolph traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead project emotional experiences through the photos they record. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to reveal more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I tried to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Randolph logo design but also to illustrate the depth in her art and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Randolph logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A however my client, even though he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man truly loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with friends and family as well as with people that they don’t even know so as to get objective judgements on the worthiness of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his whole family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he proceeded with the original concept.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire an expert to design their business logo understand how vital a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo project possesses it’s allotment of challenges, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo in the background, design for Randolph publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow slice of real estate to work with, nevertheless it is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is in most cases the initial thing a person sees in the book shop. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will likely ever get to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it looks like that in many cases 1 of the aspects people tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Randolph logo layout utilized for marketing and a label layout for Vintage Situation includes an antiquated typeface style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be much older cases. For this logo design I strove to come up with a logo that provided a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different generation.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Randolph, design include an arc with lines intersecting with it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo jobs due to the fact that it appears that every single dental professional incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I really love doing dental care business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo designed for a household not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 personalities staggered in elevation to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a custom logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The goal of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to illustrate specifically how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair style workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a business logo that related a sense of tranquility and connection for their new hair studio. I created a design that did not go the obvious direction of designing simply a stylized orchid but instead created a business logo which suggested an orchid in the pattern of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing emphasis on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo design is usually the incorrect route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the main focus on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo layout for a software program designer the design features and renowned element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and hard drive management. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to identify anything to anyone regarding what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly towards the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a spot to market their used items to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Randolph logo dsign utilizing an image which grabs the attention of vehicles and projects an image that calls to mind the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Randolph regional farm it was really developed for a products broker, and this trademark was one of several which fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The objective was really to make an identity that projected self-assurance, success, and affluence.
Logo designed for using an indication for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script typeface that is evocative a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted loads of restaurant logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked closely with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
