Tewksbury, Massachusetts Logo Design

Nearly every new Tewksbury venture understands that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly comprehend the key role their company logo can perform in their success, or the reason that one logo performs better than another. A business logo has an instant and lasting impact on the financial success of a business, pick the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization.

The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Tewksbury, Massachusetts companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the main reason they are so effective is that they all have these five features in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo will be legible and just as emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo style of a bicycle created for a Tewksbury, Massachusetts coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffee shop were opening up in an older part of the community and really wanted to cast a vintage atmosphere without appearing as monotonous or low energy. I accomplished each of the jobs by designing a logo design that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

medical logo design with a microscope slide and bacteria designed for Tewksbury, Massachusetts clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the triggers and consequences of diseases, especially the field of healthcare which works with the laboratory assessment of samples of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recollect where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I try not to be excessively literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, yet it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more captivating, more focus grabbing and more unforgettable.

logo design with a leaping green frog developed for a household fun center in Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the usual of the types of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design including a flock of birds, a hill, a route, a stream, and a tree - made for Tewksbury, Massachusetts travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the photos they capture. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be conveyed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Tewksbury logo design but also to reveal the depth to her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Tewksbury logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail organisation.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I honestly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however the client, even though he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family didn’t share his scorn for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage all of them to share it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral judgements on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they loved the concept and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange animal in the design world because the people that have a tendency to hire a professional to design their logo design comprehend how vital a logo is for their organization so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo project possesses it’s share of hurdles, but the largest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Tewksbury, Massachusetts publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it really is the most necessary part of a printed book because it is ordinarily the first thing a person views in the book shop. Concerning a publishing company, it’s the absolute best opportunity that they will ever have to spotlight their label and get their logo design in front of the men and women that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with the bars modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart yet it seems that in many occurrences one of the things individuals often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young startup commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a feeling of air travel and it was surely a success.

Tewksbury logo layout made use of for advertising and also a label layout for Vintage Instance includes an old-fashioned font style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this logo design I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for everything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different generation.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry business logos can be one of the most challenging logo jobs due to the fact that it seems that almost every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company marketing, if restaurants approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind including an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually really love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a concept that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 personalities startled in elevation to represent a family unit with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization hopes to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design that communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to describe exactly how people should think or feel they don’t understand the goal of a logo. If people have to think about a logo to understand what it means, it has failed, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that describes itself will never have the chance to be understood.

Logo style developed for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios wanted a logo design that carried a sense of serenity and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design that didn’t go the obvious direction of making simply a stylized orchid but alternatively created a logo that suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design along with the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Logo design for a software application programmer the style attributes and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive managing. The kernel attaches the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that performs as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance supporting a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the business it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With companies such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of interests, a spot to sell off their pre-owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Tewksbury logo design dsign using a graphic that captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo design has actually a field included right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms brand concept wasn’t really produced for an Tewksbury, Massachusetts regional farm it was actually designed for an investments broker, and this creative logo was one of multiple that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. Tewksbury Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo layout function for ostensibly encountering arrow and also the arrowheads suggest that it is a diamond shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was completely open to what type of logo design that they would like, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it grants a designer the flexibility to delve into any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s tricky to hit a bullseye in the absence of understanding where exactly the target is. Thankfully, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the very first shot.

Logo design designed for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script typeface that is evocative a famous sporting activities team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created dozens of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the USA, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking in which I worked directly with the owner to produce a business logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
