West Springfield Logo Design

Virtually every new West Springfield company realizes that they need a logo, yet few new business owners fully realize the key role their logo can make in their success, or why one business logo works far better than another. A logo design has a critical and lasting effect on the prosperity of a company, select the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the longevity of a company. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help West Springfield businesses succeed, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand consideration, they can be realized in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable business logo will remain legible and equally emotive at any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any sort of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the business they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bicycle developed for a West Springfield coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and bistro were actually opening up in an older part of the community and really wanted to project a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved both of these tasks by designing a custom logo design that includes a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria made for West Springfield clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which examines the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which works with the laboratory examination of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I recollect where I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Normally I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it serves rather literally, however it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that makes it more interesting, more interest grabbing and even more memorable.

logo design with a leaping environment-friendly frog created for a household enjoyable center in West Springfield.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for physicians, dental offices, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the clear choice would have been to include a couple springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy feel.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, and a tree - created for West Springfield travel professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche speciality due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to utilize negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is quintessential of almost all good photographers in that they frequently tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional fullness that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  West Springfield logo but also to illustrate the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

West Springfield logo style with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design jobs that I take on I genuinely savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A however my client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really loathed seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his hatred for this specific type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge them to share it with friends and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced viewpoints on the benefit of a concept. Fortunately, he shared it with his whole family and they adored the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Custom logo designs are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire a professional to design their business logo recognize how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo job has it’s portion of obstacles, however the largest obstacle is finding that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, design for West Springfield book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it is the most essential part of a published book due to the fact that it is usually the very first thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever have to advertise their product and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This 3 color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of space for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and go but it seems that in many cases 1 of the traits individuals usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small new venture commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to imparting a spirit of airline flight and it was surely a success.

West Springfield logo design utilized for marketing and a tag layout for Vintage Situation includes an archaic typeface layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand new cases for music instruments, which looked to be vintage cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in West Springfield, design include an arc with lines converging through it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental business logos can be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the very same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dentistry industry.

I actually love doing dentist business logos because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be depictive of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain depictions of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are downplayed and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to illustrate precisely how people should think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly understood and a logo that illustrates itself will never have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout created for a hair layout studio including a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a logo that projected a spirit of contentment and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which did not go the obvious direction of making merely a stylized orchid but instead created a company logo which implied an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept using the silhouette of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is frequently the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead put the importance on the emotion that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo layout for a software programmer the style features as well as legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone about what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However, it meant something to the business owner of the company and in many cases the symbolism behind a company logo is equally as important as how it brands the enterprise it stands for.

A logo style featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly recognized the market was primed for an outdoor sporting store that functions as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their West Springfield logo design dsign with a graphic which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo layout has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms emblem idea wasn’t really designed for an West Springfield area farm it was actually devised for an investments broker, and this company was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to create a graphic that projected self-assurance, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for the use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is reminiscent of a renowned sports team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have crafted loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the proprietor to produce a logo design that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
