Auburn Hills Logo Design

Nearly every new Auburn Hills business realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs thoroughly realize the vital role their logo design will perform in their financial success, or precisely why one business logo performs more effectively than another. A logo has an immediate and sustaining effect on the success of a company, go with the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, choose the incorrect one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the life of an organization. The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Auburn Hills companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos don’t require consideration, they can be grasped in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo design will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo needs to be timeless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty five years from today.

Retro logo layout of a bike created for a Auburn Hills coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffee bar were actually opening up in an older part of the community and wished to cast a retro vibe without appearing as stodgy or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs via designing a custom logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide and bacteria created for Auburn Hills medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and outcomes of diseases, especially the field of medicine that works with the laboratory examination of samples of human body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Usually I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, yet it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping green frog developed for a family members fun center in Auburn Hills.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of jobs which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the business features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more dynamic high energy mood.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for promotion and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was transformed into a mascot when they had a staff member costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Auburn Hills traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I believe it is a niche field due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but instead convey emotional journeys by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo composition was to utilize negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I made an effort to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Auburn Hills logo design but also to reveal the depth of her art and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Auburn Hills logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of business logo design projects that I take on I truly take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This particular man really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family did not share his contempt for this specific kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge them to share it with friends and colleagues and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased point of views on the value of a design. Fortunately, he shared it with his family and they adored the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a weird animal in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their logo understand how essential a logo design is for their organization so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo job possesses it’s allotment of challenges, however the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, layout for Auburn Hills book author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a narrow parcel of real estate to work with, but it is the most crucial part of a published book because it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the men and women that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches changed to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go however it looks like that in many cases one of the aspects consumers often tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small fledgling commuter/shuttle airline company situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to imparting a feeling of flight and it was undoubtedly a victory.

Auburn Hills logo style utilized for advertising and marketing as well as a label layout for Vintage Instance features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for musical instruments, that appeared to be older cases. For this business logo concept I sought to come up with a logo that offered a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be used for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that looked like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Auburn Hills, design consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logos can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it seems that virtually every dentist incorporates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the most cliche ridden professions when it comes to small business advertising, if restaurants approached their advertising in the same way dental practitioners do every one of their company logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would most likely include an image of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I actually love doing dentist logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a specific area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that doesn’t have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this particular design over to the client the only smile that was evident was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members not-for-profit, the logo design features 4 personalities staggered in height to represent a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be depictive of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his city. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be overly literal with regards to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best designs are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wants to convey.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a distinct opportunity to do a logo that communicated that they were about families without being overtly tacky about it. The objective of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate how people ought to think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style created for a hair design workshop including a script font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a company logo which conveyed a sense of relaxation and elegance for their new hair studio. I came up with a design which didn’t go the obvious route of creating simply a stylized orchid but rather designed a company logo which suggested a flower in the formation of a swirl integrated into the letter O in the title and by placing attention on the concept along with the silhouette of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is oftentimes the wrong route and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately laid the attention on the feeling that they really wanted to forecast to their clients.

Logo layout for a software program designer the layout functions and famous aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive management. The kernel unites the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to spell out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a company logo is just as important as how it brands the business it stands for.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the customer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the owners of On the Fly understood the market was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a venue for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Auburn Hills logo design dsign using a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo layout MQ farms, this logo style has an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo idea wasn’t actually produced for an Auburn Hills area farm it was in reality created for an investments broker, and this company logo was one of a handful of that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was really to create a graphic that projects self-assurance, financial success, and prosperity.
Logo design developed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is an ornate script font that is evocative a famous sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have created loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a great project in which I worked directly with the proprietor to create a logo that worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
