Dearborn Heights Logo Design

Every new Dearborn Heights venture realizes that they need a logo, but few new business owners fully are aware of the key role their logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one business logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an immediate and long term effect on the success of a company, choose the right one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the wrong one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a company. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Dearborn Heights businesses prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these five traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require deliberation, they can be understood in merely a glimpse.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will stay legible and just as emotive at virtually any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that work on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a business logo must be enduring and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from today.

Retro logo style of a bike produced for a Dearborn Heights coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This budding coffee roaster and cafe were launching in an older section of town and really wanted to visualize a vintage vibe without coming across as monotonous or low energy. I fulfilled each of the tasks by creating a logo design that features a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a classic business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also germs designed for Dearborn Heights clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline that researches the triggers and effects of diseases, mainly the field of healthcare which deals with the clinical evaluation of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the sole instance I call to mind where I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Normally I try not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this design approaches the company it represents fairly literally, but it does it in a way that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as a description of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the name that helps make it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more meaningful.

logo style with a leaping environment-friendly frog developed for a family fun center in Dearborn Heights.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very cool project to work on, most likely because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dentists, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have ever gotten the privilege to work on.

Given that the title of the company features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, eventually I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to give the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and included him in to everything they utilized for marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a mountain, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Dearborn Heights traveling professional photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather reveal emotional experiences by means of the pictures they record. The idea behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of most professional photographers in that they often convey whole stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be revealed with just words. I attempted to do something much the same to this logo design by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Dearborn Heights logo but also to illustrate the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Dearborn Heights logo style with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The majority of custom logo design projects that I take on I genuinely take pleasure in and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I certainly felt good about, however the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A however my customer, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy truly hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family didn’t share his aversion for this particular type of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I urge all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with other people that they don’t actually know so as to get unbiased viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … eventually I was able to talk him out of his preference of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to create their logo design recognize how essential a logo is for their organization so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design job possesses it’s portion of obstacles, however the greatest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s required to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo style with bamboo in the background, design for Dearborn Heights publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, nevertheless it really is the most vital part of a printed book since it is in most cases the initial thing a person views in the book store. Regarding a publishing company, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to publicize their product and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This three color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of room for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with benches modified to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it looks like that in many cases one of the things folks often tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Dearborn Heights logo layout made use of for advertising as well as a tag style for Vintage Instance includes an antiquated typeface design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in all new cases for music instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo concept I attempted to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old style feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that seemed like they were from a different point in time.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Dearborn Heights, style consist of an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most difficult logo projects due to the fact that it appears that every dentist integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the same way dentists do every one of their company logos would definitely be a picture explaining anything they served, McDonalds would likely have an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind adding an illustration of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dental logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and ultimately I created a layout that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo made for a family members not-for-profit, the logo includes 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people residing in his city. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy technique to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a unique opportunity to do a logo design which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo to summarize specifically how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If viewers have to consider a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the likelihood to be comprehended.

Logo layout developed for a hair design workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which conveyed a sense of peace and class for their new hair salon. I created a concept which didn’t go the obvious route of making simply a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo design which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the name and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird hovering above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a logo design is oftentimes the wrong path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but alternately put the importance on the perception that they wanted to transmit to their clients.

Logo design for a software designer the style attributes and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal part of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task management, and drive operations. The kernel unites the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a connection between the software program and computer hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a couple of miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. But it represented something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo is just as important as how it brands the company it stands for.

A logo design featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the visitor.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly understood the market was primed for an outdoor sporting retailer that operates as a consignment firm. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a destination for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of passions, a place to sell off their previously owned goods to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Dearborn Heights business logo dsign with a graphic that captures the attention of traffic and projects an image that evokes the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the picture of a fly fisherman in his natural and serene habitat.
Logo style MQ ranches, this logo layout has actually an area integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really composed for an Dearborn Heights area farm it was actually designed for a products broker, and this particular brand was one of many which fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was to create a graphic that projected self-assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo designed for making use of a sign for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant manuscript font style that is evocative a renowned sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve crafted quite a lot of restaurant logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project in which I worked closely with the business owner to create a logo design that worked extremely well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
