Eastpointe Logo Design

Every new Eastpointe venture understands that they are in need of a logo, but few new business owners thoroughly comprehend the key role their company logo can make in their becoming successful, or the reason that one logo works more effectively than another. A logo design has an instant and sustaining influence on the growth of a company, pick the right one and it can make the door swing and cash register ring, go with the wrong one and it will be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Eastpointe companies succeed, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand scrutiny, they can be comprehended in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to billboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and just as emotive at every dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are personal, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a logo design should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike produced for a Eastpointe coffee cafe and also a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and coffeehouse were actually launching in an old section of town and wished to visualize a retro vibe without appearing as uninteresting or low energy. I accomplished both of these jobs by developing a sign design that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide as well as bacteria developed for Eastpointe clinical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which researches the root causes and effects of diseases, especially the branch of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic objectives.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo I came up with is the sole instance I recall in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a household fun center in Eastpointe.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the types of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for health care providers, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the title of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to integrate a some springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not actually reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to provide the logo a much more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I came up with was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo design featuring a flock of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, and a tree - designed for Eastpointe travel photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo project I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche area because travel photographers tend not to shoot locations or things but rather communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon first glance, which I think is quintessential of most good photographers in that they often share entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional resonance which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something similar to this logo design by utilizing the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Eastpointe logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she views the world through the lens of her camera.

Eastpointe logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of logo design jobs that I take on I truly enjoy and the Coastal Wireless project was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he liked the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This man genuinely despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with other people that they don’t even know so as to get objective opinions on the benefit of a design concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family members and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to insert every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Logos are a weird animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire an expert to create their logo comprehend how vital a logo is for their business so they are much more vested in the end result. Every logo project has it’s portion of obstacles, but the greatest obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that operates really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo in the background, layout for Eastpointe book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book considering that it is ordinarily the very first thing a person views in the bookstore. For a publisher, it’s the optimal opportunity they will likely ever get to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the individuals that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo design has two letter A's with benches modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems that in many instances 1 of the things consumers usually tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller fledgling commuter/shuttle air service located in LA and although I’m not sure it actually “took off” their logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to conferring a spirit of air travel and it was definitely a success.

Eastpointe logo style utilized for advertising and marketing and also a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style style.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in brand-new cases for music instruments, which seemed to be much older cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid retro feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web page to an insignia on brand new cases that seemed like they were from another point in time.

Logo design created for an orthodontist in Eastpointe, layout consist of an arc with lines converging with it to suggest metal braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logos can be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design jobs because it appears that every dental professional involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to small business advertising, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an illustration of something mouth associated to a dentist’s company logo nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental profession.

I actually love doing dental logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a specific field of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical solution that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and eventually I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design developed for a family members nonprofit, the logo design includes 4 characters surprised in height to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the people residing in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve discovered that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wants to project.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being overtly corny about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer makes an effort to use the logo to summarize how people should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo design that describes itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an implied orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that communicated an atmosphere of calmness and class for their new hair salon. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious path of making merely a stylized orchid but alternatively designed a business logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl featured in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the concept with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a logo is generally the incorrect path and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead put the emphasis on the perception that they really wanted to forecast to their customers.

Logo design for a software program developer the design functions and legendary aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Traditionally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the computer hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism supporting a company logo is just as important as how it serves the organization it represents.

Advanced Leadership Solutions | Logo Design | Website Design

This Eastpointe logo design assignment was undertaken for a leadership consultant that helps business professionals to become more efficient at handling people, expectations, and profitability.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in over 7 billion a year retailing goods and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the owners of On the Fly knew the market was ready for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether or not you are into boating, angling or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all kinds of passions, a location to market their used goods to other sports enthusiasts. I created their Eastpointe logo design dsign with an illustration which garners the interest of traffic and sends an image that arouses the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 miles per hour I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and peaceful habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo style has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms company logo design wasn’t really developed for an Eastpointe regional farm it was really created for a products broker, and this trademark was one of multiple that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was really to design a brand mark that projected self-confidence, success, and wealth.
Logo design developed for using an indicator for the dining establishment (Brewgrrs), it is a luxuriant script font that is similar to a well-known sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve created loads of restaurant business logos and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project in which I worked directly with the owner to design a logo that worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated signage which hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
