Holland Logo Design

Each and every new Holland business realizes that they require a logo, but few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the crucial role their logo design will take in their becoming successful, or precisely why one logo performs far better than another. A business logo has a critical and sustaining effect on the prosperity of a business, choose the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, select the incorrect one and it can be an obstacle and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos featured in the ImageCo portfolio help Holland companies prosper, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is because they all have these 5 traits in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs don’t require contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to signboards a scalable logo will continue to be legible and equally emotive at any dimension.
  3. Versatility: logos that function on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the organization they represent.
  5. Relevance: a logo must be lasting and will feel relevant today, tomorrow, and thirty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bicycle developed for a Holland coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of town and wanted to visualize a nostalgic feel without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via creating a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscope slide as well as germs developed for Holland medical clinic.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science which studies the triggers and effects of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical evaluation of samples of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic intents.

The Mid-Valley Pathology custom logo design I came up with is the sole instance I recall where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be excessively literal with a concept and to a point, this specific design approaches the company it serves very literally, but it does it in a way that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more attention grabbing and a lot more memorable.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a family fun center in Holland.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of projects which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for medical professionals, dental experts, and attorneys but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park which I have actually ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the business has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to feature a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t actually reflect an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the name itself to give the logo a better enthusiastic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they utilized for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look just like my frog design.

photography logo featuring a group of birds, a hill, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - created for Holland traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a custom logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a pretty specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche profession because travel photographers tend not to capture places or things but instead reveal emotional journeys through the images they capture. The thought behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to communicate more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they frequently share entire stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey significantly more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness that can’t be conveyed with mere words. I tried to do something comparable to this logo by using the positive space in the design to voice one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my goal was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Holland logo but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Holland logo design with a seagull utilized for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of logo design projects that I take on I truly savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but the client, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This man really despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his friends and family did not share his hatred for this particular kind of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I urge all of them to discuss it with friends and family members as well as with individuals that they don’t even know so as to get impartial assessments on the value of a concept. Fortunately, he discussed it with his family and they loved the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world given that the people that are inclined to hire an expert to design their business logo realize how vital a logo is for their business so they are way more vested in the result. Every logo design project has it’s allotment of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s required to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the identity they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Holland publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a cramped segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most essential part of a printed book given that it is usually the first thing a person views in the book store. With respect to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their product and get their logo design in front of the individuals that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it gives plenty of territory for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has two letter A's with the bars modified to suggest they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines arrive and depart however it seems like that in many occurrences one of the things consumers often tend to remember the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a young new venture commuter/shuttle air service based in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to affording a good sense of air travel and it was certainly a success.

Holland logo layout used for marketing as well as a label design for Vintage Situation features an old font layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this custom logo design I sought to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be used for anything from a website to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo design produced for an orthodontist in Holland, style consist of an arc with lines converging with it to imply steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental care business logos can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that almost every dental professional integrates a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logo designs are one of the very most cliche ridden fields when it comes to business marketing, if dining establishments approached their branding in the exact same way dentists do every one of their logo designs would be a picture trying to explain anything they served, McDonalds would probably have a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind adding a likeness of something mouth associated to a dentist’s logo design but it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dentistry logos simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and inevitably I created a layout that doesn’t have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t overt, they are still implied in the design. When I turned this particular design over to the customer the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a household not-for-profit, the logo features 4 characters surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the layout.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation asked ImageCo to help them come up with a custom logo design that would be representative of the devotion that William McNally had for the people in his community. Most logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best designs are the ones that are understated and never hit the viewer on the head with what the company or organization hopes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name presented a unique opportunity to do a logo which communicated that they were about families without being openly tacky about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to describe how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If people have to consider a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that illustrates itself won’t have the opportunity to be understood.

Logo design produced for a hair layout studio featuring a script font a hummingbird and an indicated orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a logo design which related a feeling of simplicity and class for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that did not go the obvious route of making just a stylized orchid but alternatively delivered a company logo that implied a flower in the pattern of a swirl incorporated into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the concept using the figure of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the orchid but instead placed the importance on the perception that they wanted to forecast to their clients.

Arabian steed logo layout produced for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on breeding Arabian show equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo developed a distinct logo concept styled to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian pedigree of equines. With an identifiable head form and very high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most easily identifiable horse lineages in the whole world.

Logo layout for a software application developer the design attributes and also iconic element of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Typically, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task control, and disk management. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software program and computer hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a few miles from the business offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to point out anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. Nevertheless it intimated something to the owner of the company and in quite a few cases the substance behind a logo is equally as important as how it serves the business it stands for.

Progress logo layout developed for a Holland interior developer, design function a collection of red circles that intersect as well as change the letter O in the middle of the logo style.

A logo style featuring an angler in the center of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting enthusiasts the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was primed for an outdoor sporting store that operates as a consignment company. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell their used products to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Holland business logo dsign along with an image that captures the interest of vehicles and sends an image that evokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages forty five mph I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and calm habitat.
Logo layout MQ ranches, this logo design has actually an area included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo concept wasn’t really designed for an Holland area farm it was really developed for a commodities broker, and this creative logo was one of several that fell under the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The end goal was to design a graphic that projects self-confidence, effectiveness, and opulence.
Logo made for using an indicator for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a popular sports team logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the US, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my absolute favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool undertaking where I worked closely with the owner to design a logo that worked extremely well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung above their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
