Midland Logo Design

Nearly every new Midland organization realizes that they require a logo, however few entrepreneurs fully realize the pivotal role their logo will play in their financial success, or the reason that one business logo performs far better than another. A company logo has an instant and long-term effect on the financial success of a business, pick the correct one and it can make the door swing and phone ring, go with the wrong one and it can be an obstacle and an impediment for the longevity of a business. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Midland companies prosper, they are effective in any given circumstance and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not demand deliberation, they can be comprehended in merely a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will be legible and equally emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the company they stand for.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be ageless and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo style of a bike created for a Midland coffee cafe and a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This fledgling coffee roaster and coffeehouse were opening in an older part of the town and really wanted to project a nostalgic atmosphere without coming across as uninteresting or low energy. I fulfilled the two jobs via developing a sign concept that uses a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a timeless business image.

clinical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and germs made for Midland medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the science that researches the causes and outcomes of diseases, especially the branch of healthcare that deals with the laboratory assessment of samplings of human body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is really the only instance I remember where I was able to incorporate a bacteria-laden microscope slide within a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this specific design approaches the company it represents quite literally, yet it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more captivating, more interest grabbing and much more memorable.

logo style with a jumping eco-friendly frog made for a family members enjoyable center in Midland.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a very fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the usual of the sorts of jobs that come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental offices, and lawyers but Cool Springz is without question the one and only trampoline park that I have actually ever had the privilege to work on.

Given that the name of the business features the word springz in its name the obvious choice would have been to incorporate a some springs into the concept but Cool Springz is a fun place to go and spring does not really reflect an environment of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a much more enthusiastic high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my brainchild and named the frog Jax and integrated him in to everything they used for marketing and advertising. I also think this is the only time that a logo I designed was turned into a mascot when they had an employee costume fabricated to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a mountain, a route, a stream, as well as a tree - designed for Midland traveling photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche speciality because travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead communicate emotional journeys by means of the photos they record. The idea behind this logo composition was to use negative space to convey more than what was visible upon initial view, which I think is representative of the majority of professional photographers in that they oftentimes tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey a great deal more than that because their photos often have an emotional fullness which can’t be conveyed with mere words. I attempted to do something very similar to this logo by utilizing the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was conveyed through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Midland logo but also to show the depth of her work and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Midland logo layout with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a wireless retail company.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The lion’s share of custom logo design projects that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless design was one that I really felt good about, however the client didn’t quite share my enthusiasm for it. I felt really good about the concept of using the seagull form as a stroke in the letter A but my customer, while he liked the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This particular man seriously disliked seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, luckily the rest of his family members didn’t share his scorn for this specific variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with friends and family members as well as with folks that they don’t even know so as to get impartial viewpoints on the benefit of a design. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really liked the design and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he proceeded with the original design.

Business logos are a weird creature in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to create their logo comprehend how essential a logo design is for their company so they are way more vested in the end result. Every logo design job has it’s share of challenges, but the most significant obstacle is identifying that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the task it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the customer the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Midland publication author

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a printed book because it is usually the primary thing a person sees in the book shop. With regard to a publisher, it’s the opportunity that they will ever have to promote their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that shop for actual books.

This 3 color design is vibrant, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design developed for an airline in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to indicate they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and depart however it seems like that in many cases 1 of the things folks tend to recall the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a small start-up commuter/shuttle airline located in LA and although I’m not certain it actually “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their title lent itself well to conferring a feeling of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a success.

Midland logo design made use of for advertising and marketing as well as a label style for Vintage Case features an old-fashioned font style layout.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in new cases for music instruments, which looked to be antique cases. For this custom logo concept I tried to come up with a logo that had a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could be utilized for anything from a web site to a label on brand new cases that looked like they were from another era.

Logo developed for an orthodontist in Midland, layout include an arc with lines intersecting via it to indicate steel dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can be one of the most challenging logo design projects due to the fact that it appears that virtually every dental professional features a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dental logos are one of the very most cliche ridden careers when it comes to company branding, if restaurants approached their advertising in the very same way dental practices do every one of their logos would be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably contain an image of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind including an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dentists logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental care profession.

I really enjoy doing dental care logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a certain area of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the stereotypical approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics delivered such an opportunity and subsequently I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was actually the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo created for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 personalities surprised in elevation to stand for a family with in the style.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a brand identity design that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. The majority of logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy approach to any logo design is to be far too literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the company or institution wants to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name provided a unique opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The intention of a logo design is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo to summarize exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the mission of a logo. If viewers have to ponder a logo to understand what it means, it has been in vain, a logo needs to be immediately understood and a logo that explains itself won’t have the chance to be understood.

Logo layout created for a hair design workshop featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird as well as a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios needed a company logo which carried an atmosphere of relaxation and connection for their new hair salon. I came up with a design which did not go the obvious path of crafting just a stylized orchid but rather crafted a logo which suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting emphasis on the logo design with the figure of a hummingbird floating above the image itself. The obvious path in creating a company logo is more often than not the wrong direction and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead laid the main focus on the feeling that they wanted to project to their patrons.

Arabian horse logo style developed for a horse ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian show horses.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created an original business logo design styled to illustrate the unique physical traits of the Arabian breed of equines. By having a different head shape and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the very most quite easily recognizable equine types in the whole world.

Las Cafe | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

Las Cafe logo design a small dining establishment, style consists of a changed manuscript typeface which hovers over a group of elaborate lines as well as dots.

Logo design for a software developer the layout attributes and legendary component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the principal component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory administration, process and task management, and disk operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that serves as a bridge in between the software and hardware.

The logo design I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a number of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone with regards to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it intimated something to the business owner of the business and in many cases the meaning supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it represents.

A logo design featuring an angler in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the viewer.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year selling goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market was ready for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether or not you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a location for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a place to sell off their pre-owned items to other sports enthusiasts. I tailored their Midland logo dsign using a graphic which grabs the attention of traffic and projects an image that invokes the passion of the outdoors. With traffic that averages 45 mph I realized it would take more than the average logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the graphic of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has a field integrated into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo concept wasn’t actually composed for an Midland area farm it was really created for an investments broker, and this logo design was one of a handful of which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The aim was actually to generate a brand mark that projected self-assurance, success, and prosperity.
Logo design designed for making use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is evocative a famous sporting activities group logo.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed quite a lot of restaurant business logos and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeshops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a logo which worked really well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the lighted signage that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
