Romulus Logo Design

Each and every new Romulus business understands that they require a logo, yet few entrepreneurs thoroughly are aware of the essential role their company logo can play in their financial success, or why one logo works far better than another. A company logo has an immediate and sustaining impact on the financial success of a company, select the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the wrong one and it will be a barrier and a hindrance for the life of an organization. The logos included in the ImageCo portfolio help Romulus companies prosper, they are effective in any given scenario and the reason they are so effective is because they all have these 5 features in common.
  1. Simplicity: simple logos do not demand contemplation, they can be grasped in merely a look.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable business logo will remain legible and just as emotive at virtually any scale.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on product packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are exclusive, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a business logo should be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and twenty years from now.

Retro logo design of a bike developed for a Romulus coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This start-up coffee roaster and coffeehouse were launching in an old part of the community and hoped to visualize a nostalgic vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I fulfilled both of these tasks by means of designing a symbol concept that incorporates a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is antiquated, higher energy, and is a enduring business image.

medical logo style with a microscopic lense slide as well as germs developed for Romulus clinical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which investigates the root causes and effects of diseases, mainly the field of medicine which deals with the clinical examination of samplings of body cellular material for diagnostic or forensic purposes.

The Mid-Valley Pathology brand I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was in a position to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a business logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a concept and to a degree, this design approaches the company it represents very literally, yet it does it in a fashion that integrates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an explanation of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancer to the brand that makes it more appealing, more attention grabbing and more memorable.

logo design with a leaping eco-friendly frog created for a family fun center in Romulus.

Cool Springz | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really cool project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s additionally a project that is way out of the norm of the kinds of jobs which come my way, I’ve done dozens of logo designs for surgeons, dental experts, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park that I have ever gotten the opportunity to work on.

Given that the full name of the company has the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to incorporate a couple of springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring doesn’t really resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, ultimately I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a more lively high energy impression.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and featured him in to everything they used for advertising and marketing. I also think this is the only time that a logo I came up with was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look just like my frog design.

digital photography logo including a group of birds, a mountain, a path, a stream, as well as a tree - developed for Romulus traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a rather niche field of photography and I think it is a niche sector due to the fact that travel photographers tend not to capture locations or things but instead reveal emotional experiences by means of the images they capture. The thought behind this logo design was to use negative space to project more than what was visible upon initial glance, which I think is quintessential of the majority of good photographers in that they oftentimes convey entire stories using their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a thousand words but I think that some photographs convey considerably more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance which can’t be communicated with just words. I made an effort to do something the same to this logo by using the positive space in the design to suggest one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in hindsight, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Romulus logo but also to show the depth of her art and in the way that she sees the world through the lens of her camera.

Romulus logo layout with a seagull used for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail service.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I really enjoy and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I certainly felt good about, but the client didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull silhouette as a stroke in the character A but the client, while he loved the concept, really did not care for my choice of birds. This guy truly despised seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, thankfully the rest of his family members did not share his hatred for this particular variety of sea bird.

When I turn a concept over to a client I encourage them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get unprejudiced opinions on the merit of a concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his whole family and they really loved the concept and were able to persuade him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to include every other seabird he could think of … ultimately I was able to talk him out of his alternative of a pelican and he went with the original concept.

Custom logo designs are a strange creature in the design world because the people that are inclined to hire a professional to create their logo design comprehend how important a logo design is for their company so they are way more invested in the end result. Every logo design project possesses it’s portion of hurdles, but the largest challenge is identifying that sweet spot in a design that works really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a company and also providing the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo design with bamboo behind-the-scenes, layout for Romulus book publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a slender parcel of real estate to work with, yet it is the most vital part of a published book considering that it is often the very first thing a person sees in the book shop. Regarding a publisher, it’s the best opportunity that they will likely ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that buy actual books.

This three color design is vivid, picturesque and eye-catching and it gives plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo created for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo has 2 letter A's with the bars modified to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects people usually tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a modest start-up commuter/shuttle air service situated in LA and although I’m not sure it really “took off” their organization logo didn’t ground them. The bookend A’s in their brand lent itself well to affording a sense of air travel and it was definitely a victory.

Romulus logo design utilized for advertising and also a tag layout for Vintage Situation features an archaic font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case focused in brand new cases for musical instruments, that looked to be vintage cases. For this business logo design I tried to come up with a logo that possessed a fluid old-fashioned feel to it and could easily be utilized for every thing from a web site to an insignia on brand new cases that appeared like they were from a different point in time.

Logo design developed for an orthodontist in Romulus, layout consist of an arc with lines converging through it to suggest steel braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dental logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging logo projects due to the fact that it appears that each and every dentist involves a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry logo designs are one of the most cliche ridden careers when it comes to business branding, if dining establishments approached their advertising in the same way dental professionals do every one of their logos would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would likely contain a picture of a potato and a cow.

I recognize the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s company logo but it has to be performed subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I really love doing dentist logo designs because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies dentistry or a particular field of dental treatment like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd approach that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics offered such an opportunity and eventually I created a layout that does not have a single smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still suggested in the concept. When I turned this concept over to the customer the only smile that was apparent was really the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design made for a family not-for-profit, the logo design includes 4 characters startled in elevation to stand for a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation reached out to ImageCo to help them come up with a logo that would be illustrative of the love that William McNally had for the residents in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain images of a happy family, a cliche heavy strategy to any logo design is to be overly literal about what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are downplayed and never hit the viewer on the head with what the business or institution wishes to relate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo which conveyed that they were about families without being openly corny about it. The aim of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer tries to use the logo design to illustrate exactly how individuals should think or feel they don’t understand the objective of a logo. If you have to ponder a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be instantly comprehended and a logo design that describes itself will never have the likelihood to be understood.

Logo style created for a hair layout workshop featuring a script font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios desired a business logo that related an atmosphere of ease and connection for their new hair studio. I came up with a concept that didn’t go the obvious route of crafting just a stylized orchid but instead designed a logo that suggested an orchid in the formation of a swirl blended in to the letter O in the title and by putting attention on the concept along with the figure of a hummingbird floating over the logo design itself. The obvious path in creating a logo is in most cases the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but instead placed the emphasis on the emotion that they really wanted to transmit to their patrons.

Arabian steed logo style created for an equine cattle ranch that focuses on reproducing Arabian program steeds.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

Logo style for a software designer the design features and also iconic component of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key part of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel links the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that behaves as a bridge in between the software program and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is situated a few miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to describe anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it meant something to the owner of the business and in quite a few cases the significance supporting a business logo is equally as important as how it serves the company it stands for.

A logo layout featuring a fisherman in the middle of the name casting a fly in the direction of the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brand names such as Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year retailing supplies and equipment to outdoor sporting fans the owners of On the Fly realized the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that functions as a consignment firm. Whether you are into boating, fishing or mountain climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all types of interests, a place to market their pre-owned products to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Romulus business logo dsign using an image which seizes the attention of vehicles and projects an image that arouses the enthusiasm of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I knew it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get commuters to take notice, hence the illustration of a fly fisherman in his natural and relaxed habitat.
Logo design MQ ranches, this logo design has an area incorporated right into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms business logo idea wasn’t really created for an Romulus regional farm it was really devised for an investments broker, and this logo was one of several which fell beneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was to create a brand mark that projects confidence, effectiveness, and prosperity.
Logo created for the use of an indication for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font style that is similar to a well-known sports group logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I’ve designed dozens of restaurant custom logo designs and business signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bakeries to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I believe Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a neat project where I worked directly with the owner to develop a business logo which worked very well and did a fantastic job to brand them, it worked on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the illuminated sign that hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very easy to read from over a block away.
