Roseville, Michigan Logo Design

Nearly every new Roseville organization realizes that they need a logo, however few entrepreneurs entirely recognize the vital role their organization logo will make in their becoming successful, or why one logo functions more effectively than another. A company logo has an instant and long term impact on the growth of a company, go with the correct one and it will make the door swing and cash register ring, select the incorrect one and it can be a barrier and a hindrance for the life span of a business.

The logos presented in the ImageCo portfolio help Roseville, Michigan companies succeed, they are effective in any given situation and the reason why they are so effective is that they all have these 5 things in common.

  1. Simplicity: simple logo designs do not require contemplation, they can be comprehended in just a glance.
  2. Scalability: from business cards to posters a scalable logo design will continue to be legible and just as emotive at any size.
  3. Versatility: logos that operate on any type of device, in print, on packaging, on a mobile phone, or on a ball-cap.
  4. Suitability: they are appropriate, they are unique, and they are suitable for the enterprise they represent.
  5. Relevance: a company logo needs to be lasting and should feel relevant today, tomorrow, and 20 years from today.

Logo PORTFOLIO Volume 1

Retro logo design of a bicycle created for a Roseville, Michigan coffee cafe as well as a coffee roaster.

Ferry Street Coffee Company | Logo Design | Retail Branding

This startup coffee roaster and bistro were actually launching in an old part of the area and wished to project a vintage vibe without coming across as stodgy or low energy. I achieved the two jobs by developing a logo concept that contains a man on a high wheel bicycle (aka The Penny Farthing), it is old-fashioned, high energy, and is a ageless business image.

medical logo layout with a microscopic lense slide and also bacteria developed for Roseville, Michigan medical center.

Mid-Valley Pathology | Logo Design

Pathology is the scientific discipline which studies the root causes and outcomes of diseases, mainly the branch of healthcare that works with the clinical assessment of samples of body tissue for diagnostic or forensic reasons.

The Mid-Valley Pathology logo design I came up with is the sole instance I remember in which I was able to integrate a bacteria-laden microscope slide into a logo design.

Typically I attempt not to be overly literal with a design and to a degree, this design approaches the company it serves quite literally, but it does it in a fashion that incorporates the slide as part of the name so it doesn’t serve so much as an illustration of what Mid-Valley Pathology does so much as acts as an enhancement to the brand that helps make it more captivating, more attention grabbing and much more meaningful.

logo layout with a leaping environment-friendly frog made for a household enjoyable center in Roseville, Michigan.

Cool Springs | Logo Design | Retail Branding

The Cool Springz Trampoline Park was a really fun project to work on, probably because a trampoline park is all about fun. It’s also a project that is way out of the norm of the sorts of projects which come my way, I’ve produced dozens of logo designs for doctors, dental professionals, and legal professionals but Cool Springz is without question the only trampoline park which I have actually ever had the opportunity to work on.

Given that the name of the company features the word springz in its name the apparent choice would have been to include a few springs into the design but Cool Springz is a fun location to go and spring does not actually resonate an atmosphere of fun does it. My thought process on this logo design project went from springs (boring) to what jumps around, kangaroos … but kangaroos are cute and this place is cool, inevitably I landed on a green tree frog and a dimensional treatment of the title itself to provide the logo a better dynamic high energy feeling.

In the end, Cool Springz ended up loving my design and named the frog Jax and incorporated him in to everything they used for marketing. I also believe this is the only time that a logo I created was made into a mascot when they had an employee costume fashioned to look exactly like my frog design.

photography logo design including a group of birds, a hill, a trail, a stream, and also a tree - designed for Roseville, Michigan traveling digital photographer.

Travel Don’t Wander | Logo Design | Website Design

Travel Don’t Wander was a logo design job I took on for a travel photographer, which is a fairly specialized field of photography and I think it is a niche field because travel photographers tend not to shoot places or things but rather convey emotional journeys through the pictures they capture. The idea behind this logo concept was to make use of negative space to project more than what was visible upon first view, which I think is representative of the majority of good photographers in that they often tell whole stories through their photography.

It’s said that a picture is worth a 1000 words but I think that some photographs convey a lot more than that because their photos frequently have an emotional resonance that can’t be communicated with mere words. I attempted to do something comparable to this logo by making use of the positive space in the design to say one thing and then at the same time using the negative space to expand upon what was communicated through the first impression. I think, in looking back, that my objective was to both brand this photographer with a memorable  Roseville logo design but also to reveal the depth to her work and in the way that she perceives the world through the lens of her camera.

Roseville logo design with a seagull made use of for the letter A. Designed for a cordless retail business.

Coastal Wireless | Logo Design

The bulk of custom logo design jobs that I take on I seriously savor and the Coastal Wireless assignment was one that I really felt good about, but the customer didn’t quite share my excitement for it. I felt really good about the idea of using the seagull shape as a stroke in the letter A but my client, even though he loved the concept, didn’t care for my choice of birds. This guy really hated seagulls, which he referred to as the “rats of the sky”, fortunately the rest of his family members did not share his aversion for this specific breed of sea bird.

When I turn a design over to a customer I encourage all of them to talk about it with colleagues and family as well as with folks that they don’t actually know so as to get neutral assessments on the merit of a design concept. Fortunately, he talked about it with his family and they really liked the design and were able to reason with him and get him to sign off on it, but not before he worked me over to incorporate every other seabird he could think of … in the end I was able to talk him out of his choice of a pelican and he went with the original design.

Logos are a strange animal in the design world because the people that tend to hire a professional to design their logo comprehend how essential a logo is for their company so they are much more invested in the result. Every logo design job has it’s portion of difficulties, however the most significant challenge is finding that sweet spot in a design that functions really well at the job it’s needed to do in branding a business and also giving the client the image they see for themselves.

a red panda logo layout with bamboo behind-the-scenes, style for Roseville, Michigan publication publisher

Red Panda Publishers | Logo Design

The book spine is a thin segment of real estate to work with, but it really is the most crucial part of a printed book because it is in most cases the first thing a person sees in the book store. With respect to a publishing company, it’s the best opportunity that they will ever get to advertise their brand and get their logo design in front of the people that purchase actual books.

This three color design is vivid, colorful and eye-catching and it leaves plenty of area for the title and the author’s name.

Air LA logo design designed for an airline company in Los Angeles, the logo design has 2 letter A's with the bars customized to imply they are wings.

Air LA | Logo Design

Airlines come and go yet it looks like that in many occurrences one of the aspects consumers tend to recollect the most are their logos. The Air LA logo design was done for a smaller startup commuter/shuttle airline company based in LA and while I’m not sure it really “took off” their custom logo didn’t slow them. The bookend A’s in their name lent itself well to imparting a sense of airline flight and it was undoubtedly a winner.

Roseville logo layout used for advertising and also a label design for Vintage Situation includes an old-fashioned font style design.

Vintage Case | Logo Design

Vintage case specialized in all new cases for music instruments, that seemed to be antique cases. For this brand concept I sought to come up with a logo that had a fluid nostalgic feel to it and could easily be utilized for anything from a web page to a label on brand new cases that appeared like they were from another point in time.

Logo created for an orthodontist in Roseville, Michigan, layout include an arc with lines converging through it to indicate metal dental braces.

Kujak Orthodontics | Logo Design | Sign Design

Dentistry logo designs can easily be one of the most challenging and difficult logo design projects because it appears that each and every dental professional includes a smile, a tooth, a smiling tooth, or a toothy smile in their design. Dentistry business logos are one of the very most cliche ridden professions when it comes to company advertising, if restaurants approached their branding in the exact same way dental professionals do every one of their logo designs would definitely be a picture explaining something they served, McDonalds would probably include a picture of a potato and a cow.

I understand the thinking behind incorporating an image of something mouth related to a dentist’s logo design nevertheless it has to be done subtly or it will just look like every other clipart dental professionals logo that litter the branding landscape of the dental industry.

I actually love doing dentist logo designs simply because it challenges me to come up with a design that implies the field of dentistry or a particular area of the field of dentistry like orthodontics without resorting to the clichéd course of action that so many dentists settle on.

Kujak Orthodontics provided such an opportunity and ultimately I created a design that does not have a solitary smile or a tooth in it, but even though they aren’t obvious, they are still implied in the concept. When I turned this design over to the client the only smile that was obvious was the smile on Dr. Kujak’s face.

William McNally logo design created for a family nonprofit, the logo includes 4 characters staggered in height to represent a family unit with in the design.

William McNally | Logo Design | Branding

The William McNally Family Foundation contacted ImageCo to help them come up with a logo design that would be representative of the love that William McNally had for the families in his community. Many logos with the name “family” in them tend to contain pictures of a happy family, a cliche heavy method to any logo design is to be very literal pertaining to what the name says or the industry it represents. I’ve found that the best concepts are the ones that are understated and don’t hit the viewer on the head with what the business or organization wishes to communicate.

The McNally Foundation’s name offered a distinct opportunity to do a logo design which communicated that they were about families without being overtly cheesy about it. The objective of a logo is to be remembered and recognized and if the designer attempts to use the logo design to summarize how individuals ought to think or feel they don’t understand the purpose of a logo. If people have to think about a logo design to understand what it means, it has fallen short, a logo needs to be immediately comprehended and a logo that explains itself will never have the opportunity to be comprehended.

Logo style developed for a hair layout studio featuring a manuscript font a hummingbird and also a suggested orchid for the letter O.

Wild Orchid Studio | Logo Design Project

Wild Orchid Studios required a business logo which related a feeling of tranquility and connection for their new hair salon. I created a design that didn’t go the obvious route of designing merely a stylized orchid but instead designed a business logo which implied a flower in the formation of a swirl blended into the letter O in the name and by putting emphasis on the logo design using the silhouette of a hummingbird hovering over the logo design itself. The obvious path in designing a business logo is generally the incorrect course and in this case, the design ended up not being about the flower but alternately put the focus on the emotion that they wanted to forecast to their customers.

Arabian equine logo layout created for an equine cattle ranch that specializes in breeding Arabian program equines.

Dazzo Arabians | Logo Design

ImageCo created a one-of-a-kind company logo design fashioned to display the unique physical traits of the Arabian kind of horses. By having a distinctive head form and high tail carriage, the Arabian is one of the highly quite easily recognizable horse types in the whole world.

Las Coffee shop logo style a small dining establishment, style contains a customized manuscript font style which floats above a group of elaborate lines and dots.

Logo style for a software designer the style functions as well as renowned aspect of a bridge to the left of the name.

Smart Kernels | Logo Design

A kernel is the key component of an operating system (OS). Generally, the kernel is responsible for memory management, process and task control, and hard drive operations. The kernel connects the system hardware to the application software. In other words a kernel is {essentially|quite literally a bridge that functions as a connection in between the software and hardware.

The business logo I came up with for Smart Kernels was based on an actual bridge that is located a couple of miles from the offices of Smart kernels. It’s a logo design that doesn’t attempt to explain anything to anyone regarding to what business they are in or how it relates to their specific location. However it symbolized something to the business owner of the business and in quite a few cases the symbolism behind a logo design is equally as important as how it brands the company it represents.

A logo layout including a fisherman in the center of the name casting a fly towards the audience.

On The Fly | Logo Design | Retail Branding

With brands like Cabelas and Bass Pros raking in more than 7 billion a year offering goods and equipment to outdoor sporting lovers the founders of On the Fly understood the market place was prepared for an outdoor sporting merchant that operates as a consignment business. Whether you are into boating, sportfishing or rock climbing, or even hunting, On the Fly provides a place for outdoor sports enthusiasts with all sorts of interests, a location to sell off their pre-owned equipment to other sports enthusiasts. I designed their Roseville logo dsign with a graphic which garners the attention of traffic and sends an image that wakens the passion of the outdoors. With visitor traffic that averages forty five miles per hour I realized it would take more than the typical logo/sign to get travelers to take notice, hence the image of a fly fisherman in his natural and tranquil habitat.
Logo design MQ farms, this logo layout has a field included into the letter Q.

MQ Farms | Logo Design | Branding

The MQ farms logo design wasn’t really created for an Roseville, Michigan area farm it was in reality developed for an investments broker, and this particular logo was one of many that fell underneath the MQ umbrella … MQ commodities was one, MQ trading was another. The goal was actually to make a graphic that projected assurance, effectiveness, and opulence.

Roseville Logo design for a nonprofit, Transforming Point Solutions - the logo design function for outwardly dealing with arrowhead and also the arrowheads indicate that it is a ruby shape.

Turning Point Foundation | Logo Design

The Turning Point Foundation was entirely open to what kind of logo design that they desired, that can be a good thing or a bad thing. Good in that it offers a designer the liberty to investigate any concept that comes to mind, bad in that it’s challenging to hit a bullseye without knowing where the target is. Luckily, in this case, I struck a bullseye with the first try.

Logo made for making use of a sign for the restaurant (Brewgrrs), it is an elaborate script font that is similar to a renowned sporting activities team logo design.

Brewgrrs Restaurant | Logo Design | Restaurant Branding

I have designed loads of restaurant logo designs and establishment signs for restaurants, diners, sports bars, night clubs, dining establishments|eateries} all over the United States, from cupcake bake shops to pizza parlors and oyster bars, out of all of them I think Brewgrrs was my favorite. Brewgrrs was a cool project where I worked closely with the business owner to produce a logo design that worked really well and did a great job to brand them, it functioned on everything on everything from coasters, and tap handles all the way to the neon sign which hung over their doors, and was highly visible and very legible from over a block away.
